Job Description
Maxim Healthcare is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will consistently perform according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
- Performs focused interview to identify specific patient needs.
- Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
- Other Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in the state in which the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) practices.
- Current Health Certificate (per facility).
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
- Current BLS card.
- One year prior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience preferred.

Summary:
The System Clinical Educator is responsible for the planning, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation of clinical programing based on educational principles, theory, and research. The Clinical Educator is expected to provide the support, guidance and mentoring needed to enable clinical team members to practice competently within established standards, policies and procedures that are required to meet department, facility and system goals. The individual must demonstrate a superior level of clinical expertise; serving as role model for professional practice. The Educator is expected to learn EMR system to support clinical staff needs. Working hours will occasionally require flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the educational needs of team members working all shifts. Travel within the Ballad Health System and other locations for educational events will be a requirement of this role.
The Clinical Educator roles and responsibilities include: Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and professional communication competency. Integrates effective teaching and presentation skills required to promote professional growth and advance clinical practice for both large and small audiences. Implements a variety of teaching strategies grounded in evidence-based teaching practices that are appropriate to assessed needs and desired learner outcomes. Demonstrates knowledge of curriculum development including identifying program outcomes, developing competency statements, writing learning objectives, and selecting appropriate learning activities and evaluation strategies. Conducts ongoing training needs analysis and develops appropriate interventions to address educational gaps identified. Collaborates with system and facility level leadership teams to determine strategic direction of educational plans to address clinical development needs. Ensures content developed for clinical education programs and professional development pathways are evidenced-based and consistent with system initiatives. Incorporates personal expertise, subject matter experts from within facilities, system-level resources, and external presenters when necessary to meet the educational requirements of team members across a variety of disciplines and job categories. Incorporates and engage learners with the effective use of appropriate information technologies (including Leaning Management System, e-learning and audiovisuals) in teaching and learning process. Maintains required documentation that reflects educational activity completions for clinical team members to accommodate regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing program. A minimum of three years nursing experience is required. Documentation of teaching experience is required. Understanding of curriculum design is encouraged.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and active RN licensure in appropriate state. AHA BLS required. ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required based on clinical education support role. Clinical Specialty certification is preferred
