5F is a 16-bed Acute Care Unit specializing in transitioning patients both in and out of the acute care environment. Our highly skilled staff have expertise in the admission and discharge process, caring for Emergency Room and PACU patients requiring inpatient admission, as well as patients from the inpatient units and ED/PACU boarders who are being discharged to home, or a rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility. The unit is staffed with highly skilled and proficient healthcare professionals who are committed to providing the best possible care to patients with needs that range from acute care at admission to education and support for those going home.
