Position Summary:
The IMC is a 14-bed unit that provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate's degree required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire date
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required six months from hire date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required six months from hire date
License:
- Registered Nurse licensed to work in the state of Kentucky

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The RN serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader and sentry. The RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards.
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree in Nursing
Preferred educational qualifications: BSN Preferred; BSN Completion or Professional Certification may be required. RNs with a minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU which must be obtained with 3 years of hire.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
* Valid Ohio RN license
* Current CPR certification required at the time of hire
