This is not a remote or work-from-home position. This position requires you to sit on-site at our Lillington, NC branch location.

The RN Clinical Manager coordinates and oversees all direct care patient services provided by clinical personnel. This role is focused on both home health clinical quality assurance and home health clinical operations initiatives.

* Develops, plans, implements, analyzes, and organizes clinical operations for a specific location managed.


* Conducts/delegates the assessment and reassessment of patients, including updating of care plans and interpreting patient needs, while adhering to Company, physician, and/or health facility procedures/policies.


* Manages the assignment of caregivers.


* Responsible for and oversees the delivery of care to all patients served by the location. Receives case referrals. Reviews available patient information related to the case, including disciplines required, to determine home health or hospice needs. Accountable to ensure patients meet admission criteria and make the decision to admit patients to service. Assigns appropriate clinicians to a case, as needed.


* Instructs and guides clinicians to promote more effective performance and delivery of quality home care services and is available at all times during operating hours to assist clinicians as appropriate.


* Assists clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term therapeutic goals, in setting priorities, and in developing patient Plan of Care (POC).


* Monitors cases to ensure documentation is following compliance with regulatory agencies and requirements of third-party payers. Ensures final audits/billing are completed timely and in compliance with Medicare regulations.


* Coordinates communication between team members/attending physicians/caregivers to ensure the appropriateness of care and outcome planning.


* Works in conjunction with the Branch Director and Company Finance Department to establish location's revenue and budget goals.


* Participates in sales and marketing initiatives.


* Supervises all clinical employees assigned to a specific location. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.


* Handles necessary employee corrective action and discipline issues fairly and objectively, in consultation with the Human Resources Department and the Executive Director/Director of Operations.


* Participates in the interviewing, hiring, training, and development of direct care clinicians. Evaluates their performance relative to job goals and requirements. Coaches staff and recommends in-service education programs, when needed. Ensures adherence to internal policies and standards.


* Assesses staff education needs based on own the review of clinical documentation in addition to feedback and recommendations by Utilization Review staff. Upon completion of the assessment, creates and conducts regular staff education as needed.


* Analyzes situations, identifies problems, identifies and evaluates alternative courses of action through the utilization of Performance Improvement principles.


* Responsible for review of the appropriate number of Case Managers and clinical staff documentation to include starts-of-care, resumption-of-cares, and re-certifications, for appropriateness of care, delivery, and documentation requirements.


* Responsible for the QA/PI activities. Works with Utilization Review staff relative to data tracking for performance review and outcomes of care analysis to determine efficiency, the efficacy of case management system as well as any other systems and process. Competently performs patient care assignments and staff management activities.


* Provides direct patient care on an infrequent basis and only in times of emergency.


* Acts as Branch Director in his/her absence.


* Interprets Company standards and Company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with external regulatory authorities and ensures that caregiver clinical documentation meets internal standards.

* Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.



License/Certifications:

* Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact State RN license with authorization to practice in the state of North Carolina.

Required Experience/Skills:

* Valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under close supervision and consistent with completed training and qualifications, performs limited scope routine tasks with minimal role in decision-making and judgment, receiving detailed instruction until completion of task specific training and successful demonstration of competency, including but not limited to the following:

Repair and Maintenance:

  • Performs timely routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities to dialysis equipment and water treatment systems and as required and recommended by the manufacturer and established company policy and procedures, including maintaining aesthetics of the equipment and water room.

  • Coordinates and completes scheduled and unscheduled routine repair and maintenance of physical plant by company approved vendors.

  • Purchases and maintains an inventory of service parts using approved sources and ensures RGA and warranty parts are returned in a timely manner.

  • Documents all daily, weekly, monthly repair and maintenance activity/repairs per applicable policies and/or procedures.

  • Updates project tracking or other company tracking/documentation systems as assigned.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Participates in monthly Technical CQI/QAI process, assisting with the analysis, assembly and assimilation of information and data and contributing in technical discussion, including reporting outcomes and creating and implementing improvement plans approved by supervisor.

  • Collaborates with facility staff to ensure all regulatory and OSHA requirements are met.

  • Reviews water system documentation to verify compliance (i.e. readings are within parameters).

  • There is potential exposure to chemicals and infectious materials. Scope of work includes high voltage equipment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided by the company.

  • Work environment is typically air temperature controlled with moderate noise levels. May be required to work in various outdoor elements.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

  • Associate Degree in electronics / biomedical technology, or equivalent a plus.

  • Valid Driver's License issued in the employee’s state of residence required.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 0 – 1 year related experience.

  • Prior experience working in an industrial/dialysis/medical technical setting a plus.

  • Manual dexterity required - ability to use common hand tools and small power equipment.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to comprehend and communicate in the English language.

  • Computer literacy with the ability to navigate through common operating systems, such as Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with SAP and TMS a plus but not required.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Must successfully complete all required training in the Biomedical Technician I Curriculum. Expected completion goal of the training segments is within the first 24 months of service from date of hire / job start date.

Opal Autism Centers is seeking an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to lead our clinic in Garner, NC as a Clinic Director . This is a full-time, center-based position offering a competitive salary, full benefits, and a leadership path within a supportive and forward-thinking ABA organization.

As a Clinic Director, you will oversee the daily operations of our clinic and lead a dedicated team of BCBAs and RBTs. You will provide both clinical oversight and leadership, maintain a manageable caseload, and drive key performance and quality metrics that directly impact client outcomes and team success.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead clinic operations to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to BCBAs and RBTs
  • Maintain a small direct caseload (6-20 billable hours depending on clinic maturity)
  • Collaborate with admissions, scheduling, billing, HR, and recruiting teams
  • Analyze client cancellations and implement proactive solutions
  • Support timely assessments, treatment plans, and transitions into care
  • Conduct team meetings, performance evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback
  • Align hiring with caseload needs and manage retention strategies
What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, or related field
  • Active BCBA certification and eligible for LBA in Utah (if applicable)
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical ABA experience , including 1 year of leadership or supervisory specific roles in the field of ABA or a related field.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills
