- The physician will perform physical exams, take medical histories, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, and recommend a plan of treatment within the accepted standards of practice and which support the philosophy, mission and purpose of Empath Health and Primary Care practice.
A. Education/Regulatory Requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school and Board Certified in a related specialty unless the Board Certification requirement is waived by the Chief Medical Officer.
- Current/Active Florida license to practice medicine is issued pursuant to Florida Statute 458 or 459v.
- Must be eligible to receive Hospital Staff privileges at one or more hospitals commonly serving patients in the service area unless the requirement is waived by the Chief Medical Officer.
- Current Federal DEA registration.
- Valid CPR Certification required.
- No Medicare, Medicaid, or other Federal Program limitations or restrictions, including no DEA or other prescribing limitations.
B. Skills:
- Minimum of two (2) years recent active geriatrics practice or a minimum of (5) years of internal medicine or family medicine outpatient experience.
D. Language Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
