Position Summary:
The IMC is a 14-bed unit that provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate's degree required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire date
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required six months from hire date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required six months from hire date
License:
- Registered Nurse licensed to work in the state of Kentucky

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. Education

RNs with a minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU which must be obtained with 3 years of hire.

The Pulmonary unit at Miami Valley Hospital is a 38-bed advanced care floor in a level 1 trauma center hiring for both new grads and experienced RNs!
