General Overview

Performs prescribed CT imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. (50%)

General Overview:

Position Description:

The FBMH Professional will effectively work as a team lead with their partner and supervisor to provide Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT) to children and families. ESFT will be provided in the home, school, and community environments. The Professional should demonstrate a master's level clinical knowledge base to provide direction and guidance to the Worker as needed.

The Professional will be required to participate in the three (3) year extensive training program and submit for the competency exam at the end of training. This position reports directly to the Family Based Mental Health Clinical Supervisor.

**A bonus of $3,000 will be paid out with successful completion of a 90-day probation**

**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**
Performs prescribed CT imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. (50%)
+ Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. (20%)
+ When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. (15%)
+ Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. (15%)
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
Minimum
+ Associate degree; or Certification from a technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiography Certification and Registration (R) or ARRT- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification and Registration (N) or ARRT- Radiation Therapy Certification and Registration (RT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
+ Computed Tomography (CT) Certification is required within 18 months of hire. Employees in a CT role prior to July 1, 2022, who do not have a CT certification are not required to obtain them; employees in a CT role with existing CT certification are required to maintain active certifications. Employees hired or transferred into the CT role on/after July 1, 2022, are also required to maintain active certifications.

Responsibilities:
+ Maintains par levels for designated supplies and forms including down time folders. Rounds through family lounge to assure proper items are stocked and room is maintained. Reconciles charges accordingly including but not limited to custom braces and CRRT. Performs unit audits as directed. Initiates quiet time or monitors noise level. Strictly adheres to all policies and practices relative to patient care and hospital related information. Adheres to HIPAA and blocked policies. Complies with safety policies and procedures including standard precautions. Performs assigned work in a timely and productive manner.
+ Maintains accurate unit communication including, but not limited to, promptly answering telephones, activating the paging system, facilitating timely faxing, and distributing patient and unit mail. Greets and assists visitors, physicians and other staff members. Utilizes hospital information systems, including but not limited to eRecord, MARS, Medipac, Bedboard, and Teletracking. Updates Bedboard per unit standards and communicates changes to appropriate staff as needed. Enters and communicates physician orders timely and accurately. Maintains the medical record and patient chart according to established policy. Assures that patient identification plate is correct and that patient identification labels are available at all times. Coordinates other unit activities including, but not limited to scheduling of tests and procedures, scheduling patient transports, completing errands, maintaining appropriate logs and filing reports appropriately.
+ Maintains office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, telephones, refrigerator temperatures, printers, and fax machines. Submits repair requests to the appropriate departments and follows up as needed. Reports Bedboard discrepancies to Bed Flow Coordinator, or appropriate person. Establishes appropriate and effective communication strategies. Establishes professional and respectful interpersonal relationships.
+ Suggests and supports changes within the department. Assumes responsibility for assignments and views problems as challenges. Demonstrates awareness of how one's own behavior impacts the efficient functioning of the department.
+ Constructively receives feedback and direction. Identifies and communicates learning needs to the unit director. Takes action to improve knowledge, skills and performance. *Serves as a resource for staff and other disciplines. Serves as a preceptor for new staff members. Prior to performing new or challenging tasks, requests assistance and reviews relevant policies and procedures. Requests assistance in planning and prioritizing activities as needed. Participates in self-review as requested by the unit director. Participates in project and committee work.
High school diploma or equivalent experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and computer applications. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Completion of a Certified Health Unit Secretary course preferred. In the course of duties may be asked to distribute medications to the nurse at the bedside. Access to medications is limited to the distribution of the medication to the nurse.

The Patient Service Coordinator is an advanced Medical Assistant type role. This position will be utilized in a dual capacity; at times the staff member will be asked to function as a Medical Assistant, rooming and triaging patients, stocking supplies, cleaning rooms, etc. At other times, this staff member will be asked to function in the business office where they will answer phones, schedule patients, check in and check out patients, and other duties as assigned.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Completes vital signs, specimen testing and EKGs as needed.

+ Respond appropriately to crisis situation as a team member.
+ Participates in interdisciplinary activities such as staff meetings and other committees as assigned.
+ Assists in the registration of patients to include verification and confirmation of health insurance coverage.
+ Immediately report any situation that may impact safety of patients, visitors and staff.
+ Provides front desk coverage as assigned.
+ Continuously monitors environment and facilitates correction of any detraction from the appearance, comfort and safety of the clinic.
+ Account for all customers in the clinic.
+ Provides lobby/waiting room coordination and supervision.
+ Serve as liaison between customer and clinic staff.
+ Collects 100% of copays daily and correctly balances at the end of each day.
+ Coordinates scheduling to include testing.
+ Coordinates and manages the bone marrow biopsy schedule for multiple practitioners and bone marrow technician.
+ High School graduate or equivalent required.
+ Minimum of three years of direct patient care and or phlebotomy experience.
+ Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities.
+ Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals from multi-disciplinary groups.
+ Possesses excellent organizational skills.
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
+ Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy licensure preferred
+ CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
