The Registered Nurse delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service while ensuring population-specific patient care.

MININUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred. RNs hired with an Associates (ASN) degree have 2 years to complete the BSN degree.

Registered Nurse License

Basic Life Support Certification (BLS-CPR Certification )

ACLS

One (1) year Intensive Care Nursing experience

Summary:

Certification in Fetal Monitoring through National Credential Center or through AWOHNN (Intermediate or Advanced) for L&D RNs.- Newly licensed RNs have 6 months to obtain ACLS and/or PALS, and Fetal Monitoring if L&D.Note: For added clarification, see Mandatory Education Requirements Grid.Required Work Experience: One (1) year of RN work experienceOther Information: RN Fellowship Program requires one (1) year of RN independent practice not inclusive of nurse orientation.
