We are a Primary Stroke Center, offer a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab with EMS direct-to-Cath capabilities, and are a designated Level III Trauma Center. What You'll DoYour day-to-day impact includes:
- Assist with patient assessments, exams, and treatments
- Perform clinical tasks such as:
- Drawing blood & collecting specimens
- Performing EKGs
- Applying splints or immobilizers
- Taking vital signs (adult and pediatric)
- Inserting NG tubes, urethral catheters
- Starting and discontinuing IVs (as applicable)
- Prepare and assist with procedures including suturing, casting, pelvic exams, lumbar punctures, and more
- Recognize abnormal vitals or dysrhythmias and alert the RN/Provider immediately
- Provide patient and family support with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain equipment and supplies; clean and prepare rooms between patients
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital standards

Previous experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting is a strong plus
One of the following is required at time of hire
Basic EMT certification
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant, nursing, or MD program
