+ The UTMB Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an OBGYN physician for UTMB's Women's Health Care Group. The Women's Health Care Group is an employed, "private-practice" model group within UTMB's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Being part of a diverse department with strong sub-specialties including Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology and Minimally Invasive Gynecology allows Women's Health Care Group physicians access to these sub-specialty services, fellowship and resident support, and teaching opportunities. The Women's Health Care Group's Clear Lake practice operates as an employed physician group with a "private-practice" feel rather than a traditional academic practice. The growing group performs approximately 600 deliveries annually. With plenty of room for advancement, this practice provides full-scope Obstetrics and Gynecology services to the area community. There is ample opportunity for personal and career growth, all while practicing and living in one of the most desired locations, just south of downtown Houston.

**JOB DESCRIPTION:**
+ This is a Clinical Faculty opportunity which will support the WHCG Women's HealthCare Clinic at the Clear Lake Campus and will be responsible in providing clinical services through WHCG clinic, labor and delivery, as well as gynecologic surgery. Additionally, this position will be responsible for other duties including: review and coordination with support staff of reporting lab and imaging results, phone conversations with patients or other health professionals, follow up on patient care issues, attendance at School of Medicine or medical staff meetings, working with practice staff on practice operations improvement, direct in-office patient care as necessary, signing notes, dictating or using templates to document patient care activities, completion of patient requested forms, completion of on-line training, work on clinic projects, documentation of consults, and other appropriate professional activities.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Associates of Applied Science
+ Graduate of an accredited radiography program
+ 3+ years of experience

+ American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R)
+ Texas Medical Board certification (MRT)
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The Radiologic Technologist II position is an experienced technologist and unit educator, competent in a variety of routine to complex diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures. This position is a member of the direct patient care team and is fully competent in all aspects of diagnostic radiology exams. The Radiologic Technologist II position serves as a mentor and trainer for Radiologic Technologists I and preceptor for clinical students. This position works independently by exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures. The Radiologic Technologist II position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic radiology and fluoroscopic procedures. This position delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to diagnostic radiology exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
+ Promotes a positive work environment.
+ Collaborates with all members of the patient care team.
+ Guides and mentors Radiology Technologist I and students to help build confidence in skills, knowledge and abilities.
+ Uses peer-to-peer accountability towards department goals for retention and employee engagement.
+ Proactive in responding to patient
+ Optimizes protocols to provide for better patient care, image quality and patient experience. This includes positioning, collimation, physiology, procedure preparation, technical factors and appropriate use of lead markers.
+ Assists physicians during diagnostic procedures or fluoroscopic procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
+ Performs diagnostic radiologic procedures to include common and special diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams of complex nature.

+ Utilizes critical thinking skills to observe and proactively address patient reactions (i.e., contrast media and medications) or potential outcomes, as appropriate.
+ Ensures all imaging equipment has had quality control (QC) performed as required and is in safe working order prior to use.
+ Assists with implementation and education of department based, safety initiatives and standards of practice.
+ Provides accurate and complete documentation of patient procedures. Enters charges at the time service is delivered.
+ Leads departmental special projects, initiatives and/or shared governance activities.
+ Seeks opportunities to expand learning with a focus on continual development.
+ Fosters a positive and constructive teaching environment.
