POSITION SUMMARY:

The Student Behavioral Health Specialist will assist teams in determining the causes of students' challenging behaviors and assist school teams with the mental health referral process. The Specialist will conduct classroom-based observations and utilize multidimensional behavioral measures to collect data to aid in the design of treatment plans, progress monitor using evidence-based interventions, and highlight emotional and behavioral strengths. This position will also monitor the mental health referral process to ensure proper processing of referrals and quality provision of mental health services. The Student Behavioral Health Specialist will help coordinate and manage supports provided to students in the area of behavioral and emotional health. Responsibilities shall include planning and overseeing team-building activities, implementing program policies, researching and gathering resources, and communicating with various stakeholders. This position reports to the Director of Student Behavioral Health and Well-Being.

Monitors the fidelity of implementation of mental health supports

at the school level.
