Responsibilities:
- Provides support for software and hardware development, implementation and maintenance for all control center computer systems.
- Participates in the development and/or implementation of margin-improving software to meet the needs of market dispatch conditions
- Configuration of the EMS/SCADA systems to provide an interface between remote terminal units (RTUs) located within substations and the EMS. This includes a functional checkout of RTU communications.
- Performs studies and carries out projects involving application and system software and hardware design, development, implementation, testing, training, operation and maintenance
- Develops and implements new concepts in electric control system software, while maintaining the integrity of the bulk electric system
- Develops and modifies software required to integrate computer peripheral devices and other hardware into the system.
- Participates in formulating, evaluating, selecting, developing and implementing new or revised systems and procedures
- Participates in highly complex projects related to the development of new systems, architecture, applications or technology capabilities in support of business goals
- Assists with project planning, system analysis, software design and coding, testing, documentation, implementation and research activities as necessary for software engineering projects
- May guide Analyst I/II - EMS in the completion of assigned projects
- Participates in establishing documentation procedures and uses those procedures to document all actions necessary to install and maintain system and application software
- Performs additional duties as requested or assigned
- Subject to standby duty 24-hours per day on a rotating schedule
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical preferred), computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience. 6 years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in EMS or related operations
- Information systems skills to modify and produce software under the supervision of others and to perform hardware maintenance
- Excellent knowledge of real-time systems and control software and computer operating system software
- Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills to recognize patterns in data, information or events, to draw logical conclusions and to make recommendations
- Effective oral and written communication skills to transmit information accurately and understandably
- Coordination skills to meet deadlines and to organize/maintain system drawings and software version control
- Understanding of electric and gas system operation, metering, communications, remote terminal unit equipment, data transmission equipment and related devices
- Teamwork skills to work with others in the department and with external customers to benefit the department and the organization as a whole
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently

PAY RANGE:

Responsibilities
* Provides and coordinates nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process.
* Completes documentation to assure an accurate record of patient's care.
* Utilizes critical thinking in making independent judgments, and maintains responsibility for the knowledge of conditions of assigned patients.
* Collaborates with physicians and other professionals in planning and implementing care within hospital policy and legal limitations.
* Assesses needs of patients and families, provides appropriate teaching to facilitate discharge planning, and makes the necessary referrals to community agencies to provide continuity of care.

Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Qualifications: Current active Iowa License to practice as a RN. Minimum of six months RN experience. Prefer 2 years of hospital clinical experience, with at least 1 year of Emergency Department experience. . Prefer Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) ACLS and TNCC must be completed within 1 year of hire. For ILH and MWH Emergency Departments, PALS or ENPC must also be completed within 1 year of hire. Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN)
Department of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work.

Job Summary / Purpose
Supports the professional clinical staff by providing direct patient care and performing studies and tests as assigned. These duties may vary by shift or may be unit-specific. The Student Nurse - Patient Care Technician is responsible for providing care for patients of diverse ages. Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
* Delivers assigned patient care and treatment as delegated by an RN or LPN.
* Performs or assists patients with activities including personal hygiene, bathing, ambulation, transporting, range of motion exercises, dressing/undressing, feeding, changing bandages, elimination needs, and emptying drainage devices.
* Responds to patient calls and anticipates patient needs. Assures patient safety and comfort through use of safe patient handling techniques, regular rounding, environmental maintenance, equipment maintenance, and other appropriate safety measures.
* Calculates intake and output (excluding IVs). Measures vital signs. Performs bedside blood glucose testing. Makes entries to patient health records as consistent with scope of job duties and in compliance with company policy.
* Initiates or assists with emergency support measures (i.e., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from injury).
* Performs post-mortem care.
* Sets up equipment and supplies for procedures. Prepares patients and rooms for procedures, admissions, and transfers. Discharges patients from system.
* Observes and reports information regarding any change in physical/mental condition, behavior, or status of the patient to the nurse.
* Collects and labels specimens.
* Sets up, operates, and maintains selected pieces of equipment.
Requirements
* Completion of 75-hour, 120-hour or 150-hour Certified Nursing Assistant program OR be listed as having passed CNA competency testing on the Iowa Direct Care Worker registry.
* Currently enrolled in an RN program or a Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN program, certification as an EMT in the State of Iowa, active listing on the National EMT registry, prior completion of an EMT certification, OR formally holding a medical occupational specialty from the military may be substituted for completion of CNA program and CNA Registry.
* Must be 16 years of age.
* Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter - Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire.
* American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certified within six (6) weeks of hire.
