Job Summary and Qualifications

The position assists in establishing and leading a multiple hospital, supply expense agenda for the clinical resource management program under the direction of the Division Clinical Resource Director. The Market Clinical Resource Director is responsible for driving positive change through program definition and leading initiatives that support the health care organization’s clinical expense agenda. The position is responsible for reviewing and optimizing the group purchasing organization’s contract portfolio and developing and executing product standardization for the entire division. The Market Clinical Resource Director has a broad enterprise and segment influence and will need to build strategic alliances with Supply Chain and Hospital Executive Leadership at the Corporate, Division and Facility level to execute successfully the Supply Chain Operations plan. The position requires confidence, independent action, initiative, a sense of urgency, and the ability to make decisions and take responsibility for their decisions. A well-suited candidate can react and adjust quickly to changing conditions and come up with practical ideas for dealing with them 


What you will do in this role: 


  • Collaborates with the Division Clinical Resource Director to develop and implement division-based strategies and processes to reduce supply expense per adjusted admission  
  • Identifies, implements and executes with the Division Clinical Resource Director the division supply expense margin improvement plan with a primary focus on high cost of good departments to include surgical services, cath lab, ep lab and special procedures  
  • Identifies division and facility supply expense variances, and in collaboration with the Division Clinical Resource Director will develop, execute and monitor action plans to mitigate increases in supply expense; and participates in division and facility monthly operating reports and supply expense planning  
  • Participates, and may develop content and facilitate, value analysis meetings such as facility based, division based, service line or physician led meetings  
  • Participates in clinical value analysis committees to review products and technology for clinical evidence and benefit; discuss financial considerations to include contract compliance, cost and reimbursement; review and execute on opportunities to standardize products and reduce waste; and to maintain or increase product quality and patient outcomes  
  • Builds relationships and increases customer satisfaction with hospital leadership, chief medical officers, clinical directors, physicians, value analysis teams and supply chain leadership  
  • Interacts with HealthTrust corporate supply chain, HCA Clinical Services Groups, division supply chain, division and facility leadership, and physicians to identify improvement opportunities; develops and implements continuous quality improvement processes regarding supply and labor practices; and recommends cost reductions  
  • Rounds with facility C-Suite, key department stakeholders and physicians to build relationships, identify opportunities, understand their goals and initiatives, and discuss new service lines or physicians  
  • Identifies, develops, implements, monitors and verifies division-based product standardization, contract compliance, product utilization, cost data, process improvements and waste  
  • Ensures communication and education regarding product and procedure changes occurs in all affected departments, to include physicians and medical management personnel  
  • Ability to understand and conduct financial analysis of quantitative and qualitative information through strong data mining and analytical skills 
  • Collaborates with the Division Clinical Resource Director to educate and mentor the Clinical Resource Directors and if applicable, the clinical analyst 
  • Identifies and communicates alternative products during product recalls or backorders  
  • Supports the division during man-made or natural disasters 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 
  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.” 

















What Qualification you will need: 


  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical operational hospital or healthcare related experience preferred 
  • Leadership experience (CNO, ACNO, Director, etc.) preferred 
  • Multi-facility (Integrated Delivery Network, IDN) experience preferred 
  • Supply Chain experience from a clinical perspective preferred 
  • Supply Chain understanding, if no direct supply chain background/experience preferred 
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred 
  • LPN/RN, Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP), Certified Value Analysis, Health Professional (CVAHP), or similar credentials preferred

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

  • Responsible for providing all of the estimating and pricing on the assigned project that is to be performed by Okland This includes conceptual estimates, schematic estimates, design development estimates, and estimates for bidding. 
  • Responsible for ensuring the estimating and pricing for the project is completed on time so that other members of the Okland project team can review it and make recommendations and/or adjustments. 
  • Responsible for accurate estimate and pricing, which includes additional research and the correct use of additional resources, including subcontractors. 
  • Submits requests to architects and /or owners to obtain clarifications and answers to questions, contradictions, conflicts, inadequacies, and other confusing issues represented by the plans, specifications and other documentation. 
  • Presents estimates to the owner in a clean and clear format. 
  • Provides all estimate breakouts required by the bid documents, the client, or internal personnel.
  • Includes the following estimates where applicable: taxes, insurances, bonds, Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP), special wage rates, productivity, and fees & permits. 
  • Uses sound estimating judgment in making decisions by frequently referring to comparable historical data on related projects, with cost escalations added as required. 
  • Estimates complete concrete general requirements or conditions, including demolition, earthwork, crane needs, ready-mix adjustments, steel embeds and rough carpentry. 
  • Reviews and prices all items before others see it. 
  • Uses Estimating software for all concrete general requirements and structural excavation/backfill estimates. 
  • Ensures that the subdivision, section, and elements descriptions of estimates are properly coded in Estimating software. 
  • Turns in completed concrete estimate to company officers for pricing review. 
  • Establishes a rough draft schedule of the project in order to develop estimate pricing, general conditions, and concrete general requirement. 
  • Provides estimate for project general conditions, as requested. 
  • Sets up the recap on the project, as requested. 
  • Maintains estimates by deleting and/or archiving those not used in the last seven years. 
  • Maintains a strictly high level of confidentiality regarding financial specifics of projects, including estimates, bids, contract amounts, change orders, cost, financing arrangements, fees and other financial information. 
  • Reviews established budget estimate and bid, and assists the project manager and job cost accountant with setting up the proper codes and organization of the job cost report. 
  • Transmits to the owners and architects the appropriate estimate summaries, recapitulations, and general conditions, etc., in a PDF format only. 
  • Markets the company to the owner and architectural team; engages the Business Development Department in pursuing future opportunities. 
  • Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position. 
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with the solicitation of bidders and plan distribution, as requested, by developing and compiling a list of bidders invited to bid the project and prequalifying a bidder for a project.
  • Assist with bids, as requested, by taking the role of bid captain; this includes taking bids, bid pricing, analyzing bid packages, putting together a bid, and turning in a bid.
  • Assists the project manager in subcontracting the project and getting the project started.
  • Attends and represents the company in project estimating meetings, project review meetings, and pre-bid meetings (as requested).

YOU'RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field) preferred
  • 3-5 years of scheduling and cost estimating experience, including reading and researching blueprints, quantity take-offs, and estimating practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of construction and renovation terms, materials, techniques, procedures, and practices
  • Knowledge of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of construction cost estimating techniques, procedures, and practices, including material quantity take-offs, labor unit work hours, labor rate analysis, and material unit pricing.
  • Knowledge of value engineering and total life cycle costing techniques, procedures, and practices
  • Knowledge of construction cost estimating computer software.
  • Knowledge of PC-based project management software and other applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs).
  • Ability to analyze bids, cost proposals, and cost estimates, including labor rates, fringe benefits, overhead, and profit.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and understand construction schedules.
  • Ability to coordinate action to accomplish work objectives while exercising necessary flexibility
  • Ability to meet predetermined deadlines.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with management, coworkers, public utilities, contractors, vendors, architects/engineers, and other public entities.
  • Proficient in MC2 estimating software, Excel, Microsoft word, and Outlook.

Job Summary & Deliverables

The Residential Case Manager is a certified position that provides targeted case management and psychosocial rehabilitative services as indicated by the care plan to support clients in residential settings to meet their individualized goals. Certified Case Managers are responsible for utilizing evidence-based practices, meeting fiscal responsibilities, and ensuring that regulatory compliance and organizational standards are met.
