Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provides customer service for basic and routine inquiries and problems via multiple possible channels (i.e.  telephone, emails, web chats, or written letters).

- Calls are basic and routine.

- Uses computerized system for tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting.

- Provides feedback when needed, provide input on call trends, processes, procedures, and training.

- May respond to customer inquiries by referring them to published materials, secondary sources, or more senior staff.


- Provide timely responses to telephone inquiries in a courteous and professional manner, using pre-scripted responses 

- Follow policies and standard operating procedures such as filling out timesheets, adhering to privacy and HIPAA rules 

- Utilize standard technology such as telephone, e-mail, and web browser to perform job duties 

- Assist caller(s) with filling out online applications and submitting electronically to plan provider for processing 

- Complete basic call log related to the phone inquiries such as clicking radio buttons to confirm which scripts were read to the caller 

- Refer calls as required to CSR Lead 

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client regulations and policies

Overview

Critical Care Registered Nurses (RN) working in the Emergency Mental Health Crisis Center (EMHCC) provides care in the emergency clinical settings. The RN works directly with pediatric patients with psychiatric problems conditions, in addition to supporting the staff who provide direct patient care for pediatric patients with psychiatric conditions. The role is aimed at early intervention and provision of care for children with mental health conditions and includes interdisciplinary collaboration. The RN ensures all clinical care is delivered in a manner that meets or exceeds goals and expectations for clinical outcomes, quality assurance standards, staff and patient safety and satisfaction.

* Utilizes current research and evidence for practice to expand personal professional knowledge, enhance role performance, and improve nursing care quality.

Qualifications

* Associate's Degree ADN Required. Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. and 1-2 years experience 1-2 years of experience preferred or
* Bachelor's Degree Preferred for all nurses hired after September 1, 2013. Nurses hired after this date without a BSN, must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire date. and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training
* One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
* One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
* RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
* Employees must obtain Licensed RN - Kansas or equivalent within 90 days
* Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire
* Specialty Nursing Certification encouraged for all eligible nurses Preferred

Starting Pay
