Major Responsibilities:
- Competently operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures. Procedures include basic imaging processing, body, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, contrast, orthopedic and extremity.
- Obtains medical history from patients and compares requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy.
- Positions patient and selects proper scanning factors, adjusts factors to attain the appropriate images, and provides radiation protection and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies.
- Prepares and administers contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist, and assists in the proper scanning techniques. Provides measurements and additional slices for accurate interpretation with direction from the Radiologist.
- Post-processes images as directed and accurately identifies and labels images identifying patient name, medical record unit (MRU) number, and location or position of scan on all images.
- Prepares and maintains records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enters patient and study information into the radiology information system, and documents billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges.
- Identifies equipment performance issues and performs equipment quality assurance tests and calibration procedures. Reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate staff and evaluates new products and equipment.
- Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin, and
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and
- Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) needs to be obtained within 18 months, and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
Education Required:
- Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
Experience Required:
- No experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety.
- Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients and other staff members.
- Ability to work independently.
- Intermediate computer skills.

As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for the use of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. MRI Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing MRI imaging.
Tasks

- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
- Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
- Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Assist radiologist with procedure performance
- Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
- Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
- Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
- Follow safety procedures when working with radiation

We are seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Surgical Technologist to provide quality patient care while assisting Orthopedic Surgeons with hip and knee replacement procedures. The successful candidate will maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting and informing physicians of relevant information during procedures.
- Maintaining the patient treatment area with a coordinated and efficient surgical schedule for scheduled procedures.
- Achieving first assist credentialing with Bellin Health, enabling the candidate to perform positioning, draping, retracting, assisting with procedures, and closing and dressing incisions
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program required.
- Surgical technologist certification preferred.
- Two years of surgical technologist preferred.
- This position may require occasional travel to our Oconto Hospital to cover for other surgical techs in the region for hip and knee replacement procedures. Compensation for travel time is included.
