The Behavioral Health Navigation team is hiring a part-time Behavioral Health Navigator I to support UPMC Western Maryland.

The Behavioral Health Navigator I is responsible for the assessment and navigation of patients and families in collaboration with attending psychiatrists and other staff within UPMC Western Maryland. The incumbent will develop initial treatment plan to facilitate disposition planning and assists with bed placement or disposition planning.   • Meet standards for documentation and completes all required paperwork, including psychiatric evaluation, commitment paperwork. Demonstrate ability to utilize DSMV and to develop provisional diagnosis.

Additional Job Description:

The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and Department of Neurology in the WVU School of Medicine seek a neurologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The candidate will practice in Keyser, WV, and Oakland, MD.

WVU Medicine is committed to addressing healthcare disparities, ensuring high-quality care is accessible to everyone, regardless of location. By providing accessible neurologic care, our communities benefit from better management, earlier interventions, consistent follow-ups, and improved health outcomes.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will practice neurology, primarily outpatient, with limited inpatient consultation.

Qualifications: Must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, be eligible for a state medical license, have completed a neurology residency, and be board certified/eligible in neurology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Facilities:

  • Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, WV: a 25-bed critical access hospital serving Mineral County and surrounding areas, accredited by the Joint Commission.
  • Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, MD: recognized as a top rural hospital nationally, part of the WVU Health System, serving parts of Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

Both hospitals are part of the WVU Health System, which continues to expand specialty services across eight counties.

Keyser and Oakland are located in scenic mountain regions near Potomac River and Deep Creek Lake, offering outdoor recreation and natural beauty.
