**JOB SUMMARY**
The Speech-Language Pathologist provides evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of communication, cognitive/communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. He/she makes appropriate referrals inside the institution and to outside agencies as appropriate.

**EDUCATION**
_For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._
**Minimum Required:** M.A. or M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology
**Preferred/Optional:** None
**EXPERIENCE**
**Minimum Required:** Must have completed the fellowship year.
**Preferred/Optional:** Two years clinical experience.
**CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES**
_The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position._
**Minimum Required:** Current Wisconsin DRL Licensure/Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Room set up, patient positioning, patient screening, image acquisition and quality control are the direct responsibilities of the Technologist.
