BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist for a part-time opportunity performing home health visits in Worcester, Auburn, Shrewsbury and Surrounding Towns . Prior home care experience preferred, but not required.
As a home health Speech Language Pathologist, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Responsibilities include:
- Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
- Perform thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose and provide therapeutic interventions for clients who are experiencing, speech, language, communication or swallowing difficulties.
- Develop a treatment plan based on the evaluation, physician’s orders and recommended goals.
- Continually assess and revise the speech therapy care plan, and participate with BAYADA Clinicians in the multidisciplinary care plan, as appropriate.
- Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives, in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote the client's health, safety and independent living.
- Accurately document observations, interventions and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided, utilizing a touch pad tablet.
Qualifications include:
- A current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Massachusetts
- One Year of experience working with an adult/geriatric population

***THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ENLISTMENT IN THE U.S. ARMY OR ARMY RESERVE***
As an Operating Room Specialist in the U.S. Army or Army Reserve, you will be responsible for assisting the nursing staff in preparing the patient and operating room environment. You will provide assistance to the medical staff during surgical procedures. You will also operate the centralized material service and are responsible for preparing and maintaining sterile medical supplies and special equipment for medical treatment facilities.
Job Duties
- Provide assistance to the medical staff during surgical procedures to include the creation and maintenance of sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist in preparing patients and operating room environment for surgery
- Perform various preoperative and postoperative procedures as directed. This does not include the manipulation of tissue (e.g., cutting, suturing, cannulating, grafting, sawing or drilling)
- Responsible for the sterilization process, which includes inspecting, cleaning, assembling, warping and sterilizing equipment
Experience
Because the U.S. Army provides training for all of our military occupational specialties, no specific experience in the medical field is necessary.
Candidates with a current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) may be exempt from some training requirements.
Training
Job training to become an operating room specialist consists of 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 19 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, which includes on-the-job instruction. Some of the skills youll learn are:
- Emergency medical treatment
- Basic nursing care
- Knowledge of the human body
- Minor surgical procedures
- Clinical laboratory procedures
- Methods for diagnosing diseases
