Your Role

The AI and Analytics team oversees the artificial intelligence platform and analytical functions. In this role, you will be providing critical analytics support to our healthcare insurance clients (BlueShield of California and other health plans). This role is responsible for driving data-informed strategies and delivering actionable insights to optimize marketing campaigns and improve business outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for leveraging data to solve complex business challenges.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in data science, data analytics, health informatics, statistics, engineering or related fields required. Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics or Business Analytics preferred
• 7+ years of experience in a marketing analytics role, preferably in the healthcare insurance industry.
• Requires five years experience in Health Care (managed care, academic, or gov't payer)
• Proven experience in providing analytics support to clients or internal stakeholders in a consultative capacity.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Hands-on experience using SAS for data extraction and manipulation

This is a remote, volunteer position for a Public Health Empowerment Pro Bono Coach at CrowdDoing. As a Public Health Empowerment Pro Bono Coach, you will work in collaboration with a public health team in designing pro bono coaching models aimed at empowering refugees, immigrants, and the underserved to take ownership and manage their personal health. You will also work with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders in the health and wellness space.

Qualifications

Your Role

The Behavioral Health Utilization Management team performs prospective & concurrent utilization reviews and first level determinations for members using BSC evidenced based guidelines, policies, and nationally recognized clinal criteria across multiple lines of business. The Behavioral Health Utilization Management Clinician, Senior, will report to the Manager of Behavioral Health Utilization Management (BH UM). In this role you will conduct clinical review of mental health and substance use authorization requests at various levels of care for medical necessity, coding accuracy, medical policy compliance and contract compliance.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Current unrestricted CA license (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PhD/PsyD or RN with Behavioral Health experience) required

• Service you will give: Work remotely as you provide mental health support over the phone to survivors coping with the stress of a recent home fire or other disaster.
• Schedule: You provide your availability, but many schedules throughout the week will work if you are able to contact survivors at times that are best for them.

Services to the Armed Forces -

• Service you will give: Teach in-person classes that help military members, their family, or veterans as they cope with the stress of military deployments.
• Schedule: You provide your availability, but classes typically must be taught on weekdays during regular business hours.

You must have a professional mental health background to fill these volunteer positions.

CURRENTLY LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS:

• At minimum, holds a Master’s Degree in one of the mental health professions listed below; AND
• Holds a current, unencumbered license from, or is registered with, any U.S. state or territory as a
• social worker,
