Position Overview :
Responsible for consistently meeting quality and timeliness standards in the cleaning of commercial properties. A general cleaner must follow company mission statement and values.
Essential Functions :
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Maintain a high standard of excellence
- Empty trash receptacles
- Vacuum
- Dust mop/sweep hard surface floors
- Wet mop hard surface floors
- Clean units including but not limited to restrooms, kitchens, lobbies
- Wipe Spots and smudges from entry doors
- Dust horizontal surfaces when left cleared
- High dusting
- Dust windowsills and blinds
- Surgical Cleaning in medical facility
- Report unit maintenance issues as per company procedure
- Report damaged, dirty or stained carpets, drapes, furniture and linens
- Report inventory and supplies to Supervisor
- Report lost and found items to Supervisor/Manager
- Assist in maintaining storage closets clean and organized
- Ensure a safe working environment at each site and office
- Utilize supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively
- Utilize time wisely and efficiently
Experience and Education Requirements :
- Janitorial experience is a plus
- A passion for cleanliness
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to learn and change behavior
- Work irregular hours
- Travel - rarely

Job Summary:Performs a variety of functionswithin the Patient Access Department related to accurate and timely collectionof patient demographic information, insurance verification, co-pay collection,and determining and obtaining applicable signatures. Understands the importanceNorth Country Healthcare places on providing exemplary customer service.Understands and applies relevant legal concepts (e.g. confidentiality, patientrights, etc.) Completes other tasks asassigned by Patient Access management.Essential Functions:Functions as primaryreceptionist for all incoming patients to the department Maintains excellent customerservice skills, recognizing the needs of patients, families, and visitors, aswell as co-workers and other staff. Check patients in and out fortheir appointments. Prints the visit summary and appointment cards asnecessary. Enters all required data intothe appropriate electronic medical record modules, verifies demographic andinsurance information, and revises it as necessary. Reviews orders for accuracyand completeness as necessary. Places patients on the ED Trackingboard and monitors for active orders as needed. Responsible for making statuschanges for patients based on ADT orders in some areas. Utilizes AccuReg software toverify insurance coverage and registration accuracy, making changes andnotifying other departments, as necessary. Obtains and witnessesappropriate signatures on consent to treat and all required documentation (i.e.IMM, ABN, etc.) Scans all insurance cards(front and back). Obtains/scans relevant documents for the medical record. Refers possible paymentproblems to the appropriate financial counselor. Collects payments forservices or co-payments from patients as required, following EMTALA regulationsfor emergency department patients. Reconciliation of cash drawer Attaches referral/ARM toappointments as needed. Handles all incoming phonecalls to the department, paging responsibilities for the hospital and paging ofon call staff as needed per facility. Monitors all alarms and security cameras,paging using the emergency code system as needed. Proactively utilizes slowperiods in a creative and business minded manner, performing tasks such asorganizing, sorting, reviewing own registrations for accuracy, aiding acoworker, cross training, etc.Performs additional duties as assigned.Adheres to facility Values, ServiceExcellence, and Standards of Excellence.Essential Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Good communication and customer service skillswith a pleasant, clear speaking voice. Must have good organizational skillswith the ability to prioritize workload.
