Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Licensed School Nurse, responsible for health care services, medication administration, and maintenance of health records within the building(s) of assignment and in accordance with District policies and procedures.

Education & Qualifications Requirements:

• License as a Licensed Practical Nurse OR Registered Nurse from Minnesota Board of Nursing.
• Current CPR certification for the Healthcare Professional and current First Aid certification.

Essential Skills:

• Use flexible thinking and adaptability to address student needs and responds calmly during crisis situations, when necessary.
• Coordinate services and supports with internal and outside providers.
• Experience/comfort with providing complex medical cares to students in the school environment (suctioning, trach care, tube feeding, etc) -will train if needed
• Effective communication and teaming skills, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, teachers, administrators, community and staff
• Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district
• Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families
• Experience working with diverse students and families - experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred

Overview

As a member of the primary care team, the Behavioral Health Clinician assists in the team's management of the overall health care needs of the enrolled patient population. The Behavioral Health Clinician's primary functions include assessment, consultation and direct care related to the prevention, identification, treatment, and ongoing management of psychosocial/behavioral concerns which impact the overall health of the defined patient population.

We are currently hiring for the Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) position, a key role within a multi-disciplinary team in the Integrated Behavioral Health model. We are looking for behavioral providers with strong diagnostic and clinical skills, team engagement, and patient care skills who enjoy innovation, variability in your workday, and being a part of an exceptional team.

This Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) position is fully integrated within our Collaborative Care Psychiatry Service. CCPS is a team-based approach to psychiatric services where the BHC works in collaboration with the psychiatric provider to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.

The primary functions of the BHC are to:

• Complete diagnostic assessments

• Provide consultation to the team regarding diagnostic impressions, recommendations, and strategies to engage patients in health and behavior change

• Support the team with the day-to-day management of complex patients

• Provide brief evidence-based direct care to patients

• Engage in population health activities to support risk stratified populations

Organization Expectations, as applicable:

• Required to complete system credentialing to perform pro fee billing

• Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served

• Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making.

• Communicates in a respective manner.

• Ensures a safe, secure environment.

• Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs.

• Modifies clinical interventions based on population served.

• Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver.

Required Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral level degree in counseling, social work or psychology

• 2 years experience post licensure

• One of the following licenses

• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or

• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or

• Licensed Psychologist (LP)

• Licensed Graduate in Social Work will be considered under certain circumstances

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years experience post licensure

**How you make a difference**
The Mental Health Professionalprovidesclinical services to individuals under the supervision of the Mental Health Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor or MentalHealthDirector.
