• Discharge patients after consultation with the physician and Clinical Manager, preparing and completing needed clinical documentation.

• Prepare appropriate medical documentation on all patients, including any case conferences, patient contacts, medication order changes, re-certifications, progress updates, and care plan changes.  Prepare visit/shift reports, updates/summarizes patient records, and confers with other health care disciplines in providing optimum patient care.

• Graduate from an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of agency operation.
• An RN with a Bachelor's Degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing must have one year of recent nursing experience, recommended to be within the last 3 years, in an acute treatment unit in a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, a psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), or another out-patient psychiatric service.
• An RN with a Associate's Degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing must have two years of recent nursing experience, recommended to be within the last 3 years, in an acute treatment unit in a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, a psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), or another out-patient psychiatric service.

Required Certifications and Licensures:

Qualifications:

Compensation for this role ranges from $20.00 - $25.80 per hour, depending on education and experience.

As a Licensed Clinical Therapist / Independent Licensed Therapist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will provide patients with behavioral and mental health treatments through individual and family therapy as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Form excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers
* Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations
* Participate in enriching the training experience of our graduate students
* Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
* Provide treatment for a variety of mental health conditions using treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based methods
* Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications
* Opportunities to represent the practice in community presentations and lectures
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (Athena) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

* Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field
* Have a clear, active and unrestricted license (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LPC) in Massachusetts

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2+ years professional social work / clinical experience post Master's degree
* Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families
* Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness

MENTAL HEALTH  PROFESSIONAL (LCSW, LCPC, LMSW, LPC) POSITION SUMMARY
The Mental Health Professional will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with all other disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to provide a proactive and collaborative approach in serving the patient population. 

MENTAL HEALTH  PROFESSIONAL (LCSW, LCPC, LMSW, LPC) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Professionals will provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes and on-going evaluations, and provide consultation to in-house and community services.
• Participate in monthly behavioral health calls, work collaborative with the medical team to best determine overall treatment for each individual.  
• The Behavioral Health Professional performs risk assessment of inmates; coordination of care with interdisciplinary team including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals and corrections; and discharge planning.  
• The Mental Health Professional  assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. 
• The Mental Health Professional  provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
• The Mental Health Professional utilizes clinical skills such as prioritizing treatment needs; crisis management; brief clinical interventions including CBT and Motivational Interviewing. 
• Excellent and timely documentation skills required. 
• The ideal candidate is able to make independent clinical decisions, while utilizing assistance and supervisory intervention, as needed.

MENTAL HEALTH  PROFESSIONAL (LCSW, LCPC, LMSW, LPC) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician, Masters Social Worker (LCSW) who can administer assessments, make clinical decisions, provide Mental Health treatment, and hold any of the following licenses: LCSW, LPC or equivalent.  The Behavioral Health Professional  co-leads group therapy, one on one therapy, and crisis therapy.
• Graduation from a Master’s level program.
• Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
• Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.
