Position Summary:

Collaborates with physician to provide a plan of care that will return the patient to optimal health. Provides bedside nursing care and carries out medical orders. Delegates to and oversees Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Associate, OB Care Associate, Surgical Service Assistant, Nursing Clerk and Psychiatric Tech functions. Responsible for evaluating effectiveness of care plan.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Assumes responsibility for a leadership role encompassing:

* Integrating evidence-based knowledge into practice.
* Delegation and coordination of tasks and assignments of nursing care.
* Facilitates/participates in patient conferences.
* Identifies and provides the means to meet patients' ongoing and discharge/transfer teaching needs by communicating with the appropriate resource persons and attending discharge/transfer planning conferences.
* Assumes the responsibility for professional growth by seeking out educational opportunities and utilizing programs in the hospital or elsewhere in the community.
* Teaches and/or guides professional and ancillary personnel.
* Precepts/mentors new employees and students.
* Functions as a team leader to ensure proper patient placement and delegation of assignments.

Qualifications

Required:

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and holding a current license to practice in the state of Michigan.
* BLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross Certification.
* ACLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross Certification and Critical Care Course
* Basic Dysrhythmia course
* Minimum one (1) year of comparable experience in CCU.

Northeast Human Service Center - Grand Forks, ND - Behavioral Health Therapist - Overnight Crisis Services

**Sign on Bonus up to $16,000**

23% pay differential in addition to the base salary for crisis work. Salary Range w/ differential pay included: $,500 to 8,900 monthly.

This position works overnights.

Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.

In this Crisis Services position, you will conduct crisis stabilization or therapeutic intervention, provide supportive therapy to mitigate crisis situations, develop safety plans for individuals at risk, and assist individuals in obtaining appropriate services, either within or outside agency. You will also coordinate social detox/crisis residential placements and admissions to the North Dakota State Hospital. This position also provides support to the other regions as needed via telehealth platforms.

You will thrive in this position if you are committed to a least restrictive and person-centered philosophy. Additionally, you will need to be comfortable providing services in homes and communities, as most services are provided in those locations. Travel is a norm with this position.

To be considered for this Behavioral Health Therapist position , you are required to have a master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or areas approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners and ND licensure as a LCSW or LPCC, OR a Doctorate in Psychology and ND licensure as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.

If unable to find fully licensed candidates, will consider filling this position as a Behavioral Health Counselor , at a reduced rate before 6,300 to 7,500, differential included. Behavioral Health Counselors must have a master's degree in Social Work and licensure as a LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) by the ND Board of Social Work Examiners; OR a master's degree in Counseling and licensure as a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) by the ND Board of Counselor Examiners. Will also consider those with a master's degree in Counseling and licensure as a LAPC, if the applicant is far enough along with the process to obtain their LPCC within two years from the date of hire. Information outlining where you are in the licensure process and the number of training hours already obtained must be submitted with the application form.

If unable to find masters-level candidates, will consider those with licensure as a Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) by the North Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners (NDCC 43-41); and two years of professional human services work experience as a social worker, human relations counselor, developmental disabilities case manager, mental illness case manager, vocational rehabilitation counselor, activity therapist, addiction counselor, registered nurse, employment counselor, or a similar professional level position in the public or private sector.

This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
