Seasonal RN Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the safe delivery and documentation of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Directs and coordinates nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practices standards subscribed to and by the American Nursing Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Ace and other regulatory standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes. Supports the SMHCS mission and vision and in doing so, uses knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity in providing exceptional patient care and serves as a role model for professional nursing.
Required Qualifications:
* Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) required within three (3) years of hire date.
* Require a minimum of one (1) year of emergency RN experience.

- Reliability & Availability: Willing to work irregular hours as needed (on-call), including nights and weekends; filling in for funeral attendants and full-time staff shifts to drive hearse as needed
- Meticulous Attention: Ensure paperwork is completed correctly and timely per relevant laws and regulations
- Critical Thinking: Receive instructions for multiple tasks, determine the ideal order for the tasks, and complete them promptly
- Professional Demeanor: Maintain neat and presentable appearance; perform other projects and duties as needed (such as washing vehicles)
What We Require:
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving record
- Ability to lift 100lbs safely
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Composure and compassion
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and receive/apply constructive feedback with a positive attitude
- Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external work processes
