Some on-the-job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: coordinating with multidisciplinary facility team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, maintaining accurate, detailed reports and records, and providing individualized, non-judgemental, non-discriminatory care to all patients, families, and staff.
To apply as a surgical technologist with Nomad, you must have an active National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting- or National Center for Competency Testing-issued certification or active first assistant certification from NBSTSA, NCCSA or ABSA, as well as evidence of at least one year of experience as a Adult Cardiothoracic surgical tech or first assistant, and evidence of one year of experience within your specialty/modality within the past three years. If you are not certified, you must have at least 10 years of surgical tech experience, but it is ultimately up to each facility whether or not they accept non-certified surgical techs. In addition, you must have graduated from an accredited school within your discipline, and score 80% or higher on all Nomad Health competency exams.

What you’ll be doing:
- Meets all requirements of Approved Autism Evaluation Center (AAEC) to perform diagnostic services as defined by Blue Cross Blue Shield and Blue Care Network.
- Provides diagnostic services using selected standardized and informal assessment procedures to determine the nature, severity, and prognosis for rehabilitation of language, communication, and oral-motor disorders based on the developmental age of the child/adolescent. Recommends and implements treatment procedures based on these findings.
- Provides speech and language therapy services as indicated based on the developmental age/needs of the individual served.
- Provides leadership and consultation to the Center for Autism staff for skill development.
- Provides oral-motor and feeding diagnostic services and treatment for children/adolescents/ young adults.
- Assesses and coordinates for augmentative/assistive communication technology.
- Provides developmental speech, language and functional communication skill development.
- Assists in selection and maintenance of appropriate equipment, clinical treatment and testing materials as necessary to perform responsibilities.
- Maintains complete and accurate clinical and billing records reflecting clinical services rendered.
- Keeps supervisor informed of clinical issues, problems, and professional activities.
- Assists to keep team abreast of research findings and new techniques in the field of child/ adolescent speech/language pathology and cognitive rehabilitation.
- Participates in quality assurance, program evaluation, and curriculum rating scale activities as assigned.
- May participate in the development of student affiliations and supervision of speech/language pathology students.

Job Requirements :
- Minimum Education required: Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Holds ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech/language pathology or equivalent, or is a CFY candidate for ASHA's CCC in speech.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in verbal and written formats to meet position expectation.
- Valid driver’s license required according to Hope Network policy.
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Knowledge of common child/adolescent language, speech, and communication disorders and treatment.
- Knowledge of oral motor/feeding disorders and treatment protocols for children/adolescents.
- Two to five years’ experience with emphasis on children and adolescents.
