Major Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.

  • Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.

  • Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.  

  • Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed. 

  • May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.  

  • Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.

Job Summary

Our Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit has 28 beds and utilizes the latest technology such as Omnicell, Epic, Alaris Pumps, Workstation on Wheels and Mindray (for vitals), allowing our team to provide the best care possible for our patients. This unit's case types include Medical Surgical, COPD, Stroke, Diabetes, Acute Renal Failure, etc. For team members interested in growing, we allow cross-training to specialty areas such as ICU and/or ED! The Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides inpatient nursing care to patients in compliance with the SC Nurse Practice Act and organization protocols, policies, procedures, and guidelines. The RN demonstrates clinical competency utilizing evidence-based practices and research in all areas of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. The RN demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for support associates. The RN will collaborate with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System's culture, Mission, Vision, and Values. Minimum Requirements

Education

* Graduate of an approved / accredited School of Nursing

Experience

* Novice to expert nurse

License/Registration/Certifications

Atrium Cleveland Intensive Care Unit consists of 18 beds serving both medical and surgical critically ill patients. Our unit is fast-paced and requires strong critical thinking abilities, organization and prioritization, as well as thorough assessment skills. The ICU nurse partners with our intensivist team and other disciplines to manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, titratable infusions, pronation of ventilated patients, trauma, temporary pacemakers and targeted temperature management. Our team encourages professional development through participation in shared governance, continuing education and professional certification. The ideal candidate for our team is resourceful, flexible and appreciates autonomy.

Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.

Education, Experience and Certifications.
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred. Current Basic Life Support required per policy guidelines. Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside or; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works.
