Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.**
**This position is located in Milford, IA at the Milford Family Care Clinic of Spencer Hospital.**
**Summary:**
+ Greet patients and walk-ins in a professional and courteous manner
+ Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information
+ Collect co-pays
+ Triage patients and assist with appointment scheduling
+ Coordinate patient flow throughout the clinic to ensure timely care
+ Answer and direct telephone calls; schedule and confirm appointments
+ Obtain, organize, and maintain medical records in compliance with regulations
+ Ensure adherence to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
+ Perform general clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry as assigned
**Requirements:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ Post high school clerical course work strongly preferred
+ Patient scheduling and registering in a medical setting preferred
+ Knowledge ofmedical terminology, basic anatomy, and clinical procedures preferred
+ Familiarity withHIPAA regulationsand patient confidentiality
+ Proficiency inscheduling systems,electronic health records (EHR), andoffice software
+ Strongcommunication and customer service skills
+ Ability tomulti-taskand manage front desk operations efficiently

+ M, T, Th, F (Clinic closed on Wednesdays)
+ 8a-5p
+ The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department

Seeking a board certified or board eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics physician interested in joining one physician and two advanced practice providers as a Hospitalist.
- Employed position
- Market area 30,000 population
- 99 bed facility, community-owned
- 15 behavioral health bed unit
- 49 acute care beds
- Rotating schedule of 7 days on 7 off.
- Shift starts on Monday at 7am and ends the following Monday at 7am.
- Two call shifts 7pm to 7am required during week hospitalist is scheduled, with one occurring during the week and one on the weekend.
- Partnership with eHospitalist team for backup coverage
