Job Description
As a Home Health Registered Nurse, you will:
* Provide admission, case management, and follow-up skilled nursing visits for home health patients.
* Administer on-going care and case management for each patient, provide necessary follow-up as directed by the Clinical Manager.
* Confer with physician in developing the initial plan of treatment based on physician's orders and initial patient assessment. Provide hands-on care, management and evaluation of the care plan and teaching of the patient in accordance with physician orders, under Clinical Manager's supervision. Revise plan in consultation with physician based on ongoing assessments and as required by policy/regulation.
* Coordinate appropriate care, encompassing various healthcare personnel (such as Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Home Health Aides and external providers).
* Report patient care/condition/progress to patient's physician and Clinical Manager on a continuous basis.
* Implement patient care plan in conjunction with patient and family to assist them in achieving optimal resolution of needs/problems.
* Coordinate/oversee/supervise the work of Home Health Aides, Certified Home Health Aides and Personal Care Workers and provides written personal care instructions/care plan that reflect current plan of care. Monitor the appropriate completion of documentation by home health aides/personal care workers as part of the supervisory/leadership responsibility.
* Discharge patients after consultation with the physician and Clinical Manager, preparing and completing needed clinical documentation.
* Prepare appropriate medical documentation on all patients, including any case conferences, patient contacts, medication order changes, re-certifications, progress updates, and care plan changes. Prepare visit/shift reports, updates/summarizes patient records, and confers with other health care disciplines in providing optimum patient care.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. Summary of Duties
Plan, organize, develop, and direct the Dietary Department and serve as Dietician for the residents of the Community in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide timely nutritional preliminary and comprehensive assessment of the dietary needs of each resident and implement nutritional plan of care to address identified concerns
- Monitor high risk residents routinely and change approaches as needed to ensure dietary needs and requirements are met
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct dietary programs and activities
- Assist in resident care planning and assessments and ensures that dietary personnel follow care plans to provide daily dietary services
- Assist in planning the dietary services portion of the resident's discharge plan

- Meet with dietary personnel on a regularly scheduled basis to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas and/or improving services
- Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff, as well as other related departments, in planning dietary service programs and activities
- Inspect food storage rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for cleanliness, proper maintenance, and appropriate inventory levels
- Review dietary complaints/grievances made by personnel, residents, family members, or visitors and report them to Executive Director. Assist Executive Director in developing a plan to address any issues
- Review and assist in developing a plan of correction for dietary service deficiencies noted during survey inspections and provide a written copy of such to the Executive Director
- Make rounds to assure that dietary personnel are performing required duties and to assure that appropriate dietary procedures are being followed to meet the needs of the facility
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor including any special projects
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or related field required. Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetics Association licensed in the state of Alabama required. A minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility required. Long term care experience preferred. Must complete Serve Safe Program.

As an Operating Room Specialist in the U.S. Army or Army Reserve, you will be responsible for assisting the nursing staff in preparing the patient and operating room environment. You will provide assistance to the medical staff during surgical procedures. You will also operate the centralized material service and are responsible for preparing and maintaining sterile medical supplies and special equipment for medical treatment facilities.
Job Duties
- Provide assistance to the medical staff during surgical procedures to include the creation and maintenance of sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist in preparing patients and operating room environment for surgery
- Perform various preoperative and postoperative procedures as directed. This does not include the manipulation of tissue (e.g., cutting, suturing, cannulating, grafting, sawing or drilling)
- Responsible for the sterilization process, which includes inspecting, cleaning, assembling, warping and sterilizing equipment
Experience
Because the U.S. Army provides training for all of our military occupational specialties, no specific experience in the medical field is necessary.
Candidates with a current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) may be exempt from some training requirements.
Training
Job training to become an operating room specialist consists of 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 19 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, which includes on-the-job instruction. Some of the skills youll learn are:
- Emergency medical treatment
- Basic nursing care
- Knowledge of the human body
- Minor surgical procedures
- Clinical laboratory procedures
- Methods for diagnosing diseases
Compensation
- Paid training
- Monthly salary (based off pay grade and time in service)

- 30 days of paid vacation each year, in addition to federal holidays for full-time Soldiers

Location
Part-time opportunities in the U.S. Army Reserve are available at Fort Snelling, Minnesota and many other locations nation-wide.
Full-time opportunities on Active Duty in the Regular Army are available at U.S. Army Installations across the country and around the world.
