The Registered Nurse is a professional who assumes the responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.

HOURS: Full-time or 1.0 FTE; 80 hours bi-weekly; Day Shift. WEEKEND, HOLIDAY ROTATION, AND OVERNIGHT CALL

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a nursing program. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Maintains education and specialty certification requirements specific to the department scope of service.
  • Previous experience beneficial.
  • Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
  • Maintains specialty certification as per department scope of service.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.   • Annual accrual of CEUs/continuing education requirements per Education Council recommendation for the given year.

What are the primary job duties?

  • Provide Critical Incident Stress Debriefing as needed internally at Portage County and to community partners.
Recruit, Hire, Train, Supervise and Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, Adult Protective Services and Emergency Mental Health Services staff.
  • Initiate and consult with Human Resources in the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Recommend hiring and termination.
  • Supervise and evaluate section personnel based on County policies.
  • Ensure new staff are trained, and current staff are trained in new programs implemented in each unit.
  • Implement section reorganization to maximize program effectiveness and staff efficiency.
  • Lead section staff meetings to provide direction and consultation to section personnel.
  • Organize and promote staff development through individual guidance, in-service programs and other training and events.
  • Respond to and resolve staff complaints.
What are the minimum qualifications?
  • Licensed Mental Health Provider (Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Independent Social Worker, MD, Ph.D, Psy.D., Nurse Practitioner, Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner) within the State of Wisconsin is required.
  • 3000 hours of supervised clinical practice that meets Wisconsin DHS 34 standards and Wisconsin DSPS standards for Licensed Mental Health Provider status.
  • Management experience in human services or related field preferred.
  • Wisconsin License as a Substance Abuse Counselor preferred.

Your role in our mission

Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients' objectives in important areas.

  • Help coordinate a business analyst team's duties and activities on IT projects and nurture newer team members by providing guidance and support
  • Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers and technical staff to define, document and share business requirements and expected impact
  • Work with the client to develop business specs at the start of a technical project
  • Analyze, plan, design, document or make recommendations to improve business processes to support client's technology goals
  • Help verify that all requirements have been met by approving and validating test results
  • Exercise your ability to use basic analytical or relational database software - such as Excel or SQL - to quantify the anticipated impact of work
What we're looking for
  • 6 or more years of experience in a relevant Business Analyst position.
  • Preferred experience with Prior Authorization (PA) processes and/or Business Process Automation (BPA) systems.
  • Knowledge of computer programming concepts such as configuration, development and batch processing
  • Advanced knowledge in analytical software such as Microsoft Excel or SQL and other requirement-mapping tools such as Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools
  • Strong client communication skills translating client needs to actionable objectives
  • Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients and technical personnel
  • A leader who motivates others to action and communicates key technical ideas in a digestible way

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required

The pay range for this position is $ 69,400 - $ 89,280 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
