**Job Overview**
Fairview has an immediate opening for a Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room at our M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital location in Maplewood, MN.
We're offering an up to $6,000 sign-on bonus and up to a $,000 relocation bonus!
For Cardiovascular: 2.50/hr additional augmentation after completion of orientation (typically 12 weeks)
As a Surgical Technologist, you will efficiently perform the functions of a scrub person during surgical procedures delivering patient care services served during the shift of duty in collaboration with the RN. You will also be collaborating to carry out the standards of
nursing practice and patient care, accurate use of supplies/equipment and maintenance of the surgical suite under the direction of an RN.
**Schedule:** This position will be working 0.8 FTE (64 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on the day/evening shift. This position will also work a rotating weekends.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for:

Schedule: This position will be working 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on the day shift.
This position will work every Saturday and Sunday (inpatient only)and 3 days per week could be flexible/variable or fixed days. this position will not require you to take on-call unless you want to pick it up.
The Echocardiographer performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases.
**Job Responsibilities:**
As an Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for:
+ Performing various echocardiograms according to departmental policies and procedures.
+ Transthoracic echocardiograms.
+ Exercise and pharmacological echocardiograms.
+ Utilizes contrast agents for echocardiograms as needed.

The Cardiovascular Surgical Technician receives a 2.50/hour augmentation.

As a Surgical Technologist, you'll assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, arranging, and passing instruments to surgeons, and ensuring a sterile environment under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the surgical team and maintaining the safety and efficiency of the operating room.
Our Surg techs work as a part of a strong team and their cases include, but are not limited to, general, dental, ear, nose, and throat, endoscopy, vascular, thoracic, open heart, orthopedics, neurology, bariatrics, solid organ transplant, gynecologic, colo-rectal, urology, plastics, and Da Vinci robotics.

Staff radiation therapist is responsible for delivering ionizing radiation therapy treatments as determined by the Radiation Oncologist. Administers prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards. Prepares and constructs equipment such as immobilization devices as needed or prescribed by the physician. Prepares and keeps stock of the treatment and simulation rooms. Under the direction of the manager may assume additional therapist responsibilities.

**Job Responsibilities:**
1. **Patient Treatment Management**
+ Continuously acts in the best interest of the patient under departmental guidelines

+ Prepares and educates patients and families for simulation and treatment

+ Takes all necessary photos of the patient including identification and setup. Enters and maintains data in the record and verify computer system, including the scheduling of patients.
+ Helps physicians, physicists and dosimetrists to prepare physical and technical aspects of radiation treatment plans, using information about patient condition and anatomy.
+ Performs and delivers TBI treatments per therapy protocol.
1. **Performs other duties** including Performance Goals developed by manager and employee and reported in the employee's Performance Review as part of M Health Fairview Performance Management tools. Develops and maintains critical competencies listed in this job description and the competencies drop down list in the employee's online performance management tool.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Associate of Arts for radiation therapy
+ Successful radiation therapy school completion
+ ARRT Radiology Tech
+ Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
+ ARRT registration in radiation therapy or be registry-eligible by completing the appropriate school of radiation therapy through an accredited program. Continuing education in radiation therapy field and must continue to hold ARRT registry within 90 Days
