Maxim Healthcare is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will consistently perform according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
- Performs focused interview to identify specific patient needs.
- Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
- Other Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in the state in which the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) practices.
- Current Health Certificate (per facility).
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
- Current BLS card.
- One year prior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience preferred.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Works closely with the provider and leadership to continually improve the patient experience though daily patient care, clerical support, ongoing projects and assumes additional duties as needed in a self-directed manner. Prepares the patient for the visit by gathering base line data from the patient, documenting reasons for the visit and obtaining vitals/office testing. Performs specific specialized tests (i.e. pulmonary function tests, phlebotomy procedures) as needed. Anticipates and prepares the patient, clinical equipment and supplies for the visit. Provides for a safe patient experience through adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, manufacturer standards and reports any potential equipment malfunctions or safety violations. Determines potential equipment needs for clinician visit and sets up exam rooms accordingly. Skilled in assisting clinicians with treatments, dressings and other tasks. Communicates effectively with patients, peers and all members of the health care team. Listens and responds to verbal and non-verbal communication of patients, families and staff members. Relates to patients in caring manner. Relates complete and pertinent information in verbal and written form appropriate to the ages of patient served. Demonstrates understanding of legal implications of charting, documents clearly and objectively all encounters with patients. May be assigned Lab functions and draws. Assists leadership with ordering, maintaining, and monitoring office medications. Triage phone calls; coordinate care for patient with provider and other service lines/specialties. Furnish personalized health advice to the patient and provide referrals as appropriate for recommended testing or preventive counseling. Performs other duties as assigned that support ProMedica’s core values.
Education: Graduation from accredited Nursing Program.

Must be able to work autonomously. • Working knowledge of office based regulatory requirements. • Problem solving and critical thinking. • Flexible with hours to meet the needs of department. • Must be able to work through the office and hospital based electronic health records. • Demonstrated ability to communicate with medical and administrative staff and patients, excellent understanding levels of care.

The Behavioral Health Medical Director is responsible for the overall safety of patients with a BH diagnosis, with a special focus on safe prescribing.
Essential Functions:
- Assume responsibility for the overall safety of patients with a BH diagnosis, with a special focus on safe prescribing
- Serve as the clinical lead in developing and implementing evidenced based clinical policies and practices
- Participate in regulatory/accreditation reviews
- Assume key role in quality improvement initiatives, case management activities and member safety activities (i.e. incident management)
- BH coverage determination for utilization management to ensure members receive appropriate and medically necessary care in the most cost-effective setting
- Oversight and quality improvement activities associated with case management activities
- Provide guidance to BH orientation and network development/ recruitment in conjunction with provider relations, value-based contracting, support of episodes of care and full integration of BH services
- Assist in the review of utilization data to identify variances in patterns, and provide feedback and education to MCP staff and providers as appropriate
- Represent CareSource as the primary clinical liaison to members, providers and State agencies
- Support of regulatory and accreditation functions (e.g. CMS, State, NCQA and URAC) and compliance for all programs
- Participate in the development, implementation and revision of the clinical care standards and practice guidelines ensuring compliance with nationally accepted quality standards
- Participate in the development, implementation and revision of the Quality Improvement Plan and corporate level quality initiatives
- Collaborate with market/product leaders to help define market strategy
- Community collaborative participation
- Participate in the evaluation and investigations of cases suspected of fraud, abuse, and quality of care concerns
- Provide cross-coverage for other Medical Directors and/or markets, as needed
- Support staff by providing training, clinical consultation, and clinical case review for members including Medical Advisement meetings
- Perform any other job duties as requested
- Completion of an accredited Medical Degree program as a medical doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) medicine is required
- Successful completion of a residency training program in psychiatry is required
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical practice experience is required
- Experience in safe prescribing is required
- Managed care medical review/medical director experience is preferred
- Basic Microsoft Word skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
- Ability to create strong relationships with Providers and Members
- Previous Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) or equivalent training participation is preferred

$191,400.00 - $334,900.00

This position prepares patients for examinations and performs diagnostic radiology procedures following guidelines set by OhioHealth and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Responsibilities And Duties:

Performs Diagnostic procedures. Conducts routine radiographic studies in diagnostics. Conducts routine and specialized fluoroscopy studies utilizing digital fluroscope equipment; Maintains proficiency in each of these areas. Provides radiation safety for operator and patient.

Obtains diagnostic radiographs -- Places patient in proper positions for procedures, adhering to department policy regarding routine. Positions anatomical part in position necessary to obtain optimum radiograph. Observes patient throughout procedure and responds to any observed change period manipulates equipment in proper manner, adjust technical factors to assure optimal images, and observes equipment safety. Critiques images inputs through only those optimal for interpretation. Repeats images as necessary.

Prepares patients for examination -- Receives orders/request for procedures from physician, nursing unit, or radiology office and makes necessary entries in electronic medical record. Greets patient and friendly manner and makes positive identification. Explains procedure in clear, understandable terms. Ensures all necessary clothing and jewelry is removed and patient is properly attired. Starts IBS and draws up medications.

Performs miscellaneous related duties -- Assumes duties of electronic imaging technician when necessary. Processes images for interpretation. Imports and burn CDs. Performs QC tests on X ray unit and impacts as necessary. Works with students enrolled in radiography program under program guidelines.

This position is eligible for a $15,000 sign on bonus with a one-year commitment to OhioHealth.
Graduate of an approved accredited radiography program. Registered with ARRT; ODH Ohio Radiologic License, BLS certification. Thorough knowledge of various medical imaging procedures and equipment including proper technique and positioning, handling, and administering ionizing radiation to include contrast media agents, radiographic anatomy and physiology and medical terminology. Expresses superior customer service skills. Pleasant demeanor, neat, poised appearance. Ability to function as team member, with limited supervision. Highly motivated with effective written and verbal communication and effective organizational skills.
