**The role you'll contribute:**
The Medical Laboratory Scientist I, conducts a variety of laboratory procedures in designated areas as licensed or certified. This role entails the analytical testing of blood and/or human biological specimens, requiring a moderate to high degree of both theoretical and practical knowledge and expertise in the certified area(s). Laboratory testing encompasses complex diagnostic and analytic assessments of specimens, including interpreting data with precision and accuracy according to established policies and procedures. Duties customarily involve a range of pre- and post-analytical work processes depending on the campus and department and may also require participation in on-call rotations. Professionals in this position are responsible for adhering to laboratory policies and procedures while maintaining quality control practices. This role may also involve managing selected aspects of laboratory processes or shifts, which could include workflow management, quality control processes, performance improvement activities, training of new employees, advanced problem-solving for customers and coworkers, and maintenance and upgrades of department equipment or computer systems. Provides and acts on technical and support information related to the elements of laboratory testing for all age groups, neonatal through geriatric patients
Provides orientation and training to new employees and medical technology students as needed, under the direction of the lab leadership. May act as a preceptor when teaching new staff and Students when assigned. Appropriately documents orientation and training of new employees and medical technology students.
Provides guidance to technicians and support staff, resolution to customer service issues within guidelines, and support education to clinical staff as appropriate or requested. Facilitates workflow when necessary
Follows appropriate safety policies including the appropriate use of PPE, handwashing, and hazardous chemical handling. Demonstrates understanding and adheres to Chemical Hygiene plan and Infection Control policies. Employee job duties may include transport of hazardous waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area; employee will be required to complete initial training (prior to handling hazardous waste) and refresher training to include proper handling and transport of hazardous waste, and proper selection, use and disposal of personal protective equipment
Participates in, and has knowledge of, laboratory and hospital Performance Improvement activities
Performs various support activities to facilitate operation of assigned department or work area
Participates in the evaluation of new laboratory techniques and procedures. Assists with data collection and special projects, as assigned. Assists in the documentation and submission of required laboratory, departmental, and staff statistics/reports

Qualifications

The Cancer Registry Coordinator coordinates and monitors all Cancer Registry functions, including case-finding, case abstracting, follow-up, data entry, state and all other required data reporting, quality control and cancer conferences (tumor board). The Coordinator plays an integral role in American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers survey activities. The Coordinator supervises registry personnel for accuracy and adherence to production deadlines as required by state and cancer program accrediting bodies.

+ Coordinates the activities and monitors compliance for reporting cancer-related data to the National Cancer Database (NCDB) and Florida Cancer Data System (FCDS).

+ Performs appropriate research and provides accurate statistical data response to Cancer Registry inquiries.

**The role you'll contribute:**
The Cancer Registry Coordinator coordinates and monitors all Cancer Registry functions, including case-finding, case abstracting, follow-up, data entry, state and all other required data reporting, quality control and cancer conferences (tumor board). The Coordinator plays an integral role in American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers survey activities. The Coordinator supervises registry personnel for accuracy and adherence to production deadlines as required by state and cancer program accrediting bodies.

+ Coordinates the activities and monitors compliance for reporting cancer-related data to the National Cancer Database (NCDB) and Florida Cancer Data System (FCDS).
+ Abstraction and submission of cancer cases according to American College of Surgeons (ACoS) and FCDS requirements.
+ Performs appropriate research and provides accurate statistical data response to Cancer Registry inquiries.
+ Coordinate activities related to Cancer Conference, including, but not limited to, publishing meeting calendar, agenda and conference room preparation, gathering case presentation data, forwarding case data requests to Diagnostic Services and Pathology, physician attendance and multidisciplinary representation tracking, prospective case presentation and meeting minutes.
+ Performs monthly case finding to ensure all reportable cases are identified.

Assists with procedures to analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma/GED with Two years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

+ BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
+ One or more of the following:
+ Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular
+ Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
+ Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

**Job Summary**
**Summary:** Under the direction of the Patient Services Manager and/or Clinical Nutrition Manager, responsible for patient menu management, data collection, and diet office functions, as needed.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Distributes and collect menus.
+ Assists patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diet, as assigned by dietitian.
+ Offers alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies or sensitivities, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences when patient inquires or needs additional selections.
+ Plans regular and modified menus based on current diet manual.
+ Prepares and distributes supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula in an accurate and timely manner.
+ May be responsible for the preparation, distribution, inventory and management of human/donor milk and/or infant formula.
+ Adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient's rights policies.
+ Complies with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state and TJC.
+ Completes all required documentation, reports and logs.
+ Follows facility and department infection-control policies and procedures.
+ Participates in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement Program and on Performance Improvement teams to improve processes and patient care.

**The role you'll contribute:**
Under supervision, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans. The role involves independently performing Radiographic Imaging procedures, handling, preparing, calculating dosage, and administering radionuclides and interventional medications under the direction of an authorized user such as a radiologist or cardiologist. This position assumes a variety of responsibilities that will require independent judgment, ingenuity, initiative, and the ability to adapt to adverse situations. The technologist is authorized and commits to delivering quality care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring patient safety and adhering to safety standards that keep radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is also responsible for maintaining records in accordance with departmental and state requirements, assisting the radiation safety officer as needed, and responsible for patient transportation to the imaging room. The position entails positioning patients appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images for interpretation via PACS system by the technologist and assisting Radiologists or other clinical staff during procedures.
