Qualifications    

  • Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
    • Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days   
  • Current CPR certification (with hands-on component)- Aveanna can assist in obtaining this requirement after hire, if necessary.
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months)   
  • Not currently accepting new graduate nurses. 6 months hands on experience required. 
  • Must have reliable transportation

Your Responsibilities

As a CT Technologist I, you will:

  • Promote a Positive Work Environment: Collaborate with your team to achieve optimal results and communicate effectively with all members of the patient care team.
  • Perform Diagnostic Procedures: Conduct common and special CT exams, utilizing x-ray images and computer processing to generate detailed pictures of tissue densities.
  • Enhance Patient Experience: Assess and respond to patient needs, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the imaging process.
  • Assist Physicians: Provide direct support during diagnostic and special procedures, including maintaining sterile techniques.
  • Ensure Quality and Safety: Follow safety standards, maintain equipment, and report any issues promptly to enhance patient safety.

  • Engage in Growth: Participate in department projects and continuing education to expand your skills and knowledge.
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited program approved by the credentialing body.
  • Experience: No prior experience required, but a passion for patient care is essential!
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
    • One of the following certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-N, ARRT-THR, or CNMT.
    • If less than 1 year CT experience: ARRT (R) or equivalent, with ARRT (CT) certification within 6 months.
    • If 1 or more years CT experience: ARRT (R) or equivalent, with ARRT (CT) certification within 1 year.
  • Skills: Strong communication, computer proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Working Conditions

As part of our team, you will:

  • Wear scrubs as your work attire.
  • Be available for on-call duties during emergencies.
  • May require travel within and outside the Houston Metropolitan area.
