The Quality Control Manager for Mechanical Manufacturing Products position is responsible for implementing a Quality Control system and team that promotes customer satisfaction. Primary Responsibilities

* Serves as the primary quality control authority for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
* Manages quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis.
* Previous experience managing Quality Engineers
* Plan quality control staffing needs based on product manufacturing requirements, and delegate activities to Quality Engineer, Technician, and Inspector staff.
* Establishes and implements metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring Quality Control system effectiveness.
* Leads root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.
* Establishes collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality.
* Develops quality planning methods for all product lines within the plant.
* Interacts with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.
* Initiates and implements quality improvement activities as appropriate (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma) to raise the performance of the plant's product lines.
* Reports to Sr. Quality Management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
* Participates in internal and external quality audits.
* Collaborates with DCMA and other government and/or customer quality assurance organizations
* Interfaces with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
* All other reasonable duties, as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

* Candidate must havea Bachelors degree with 5+ years of prior relevant work experience of a Masters degree with 3+ years of prior relevant work experience. In lieu of a degree, a HS diploma/GED with 10 years of experience in a QA/QC systems implementation or management in a manufacturing/production based environment will be considered
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Management of Quality Engineers
* Experience in a QMS compliant with AS9100/ISO9001.
* Candidate must be able to obtain/maintain a final secret clearance
* Candidates must be a resident of or willing to relocate to the Huntsville,

Preferred Qualifications

* ASQC is preferred
* Experience in leading skilled professionals in a matrix environment
* Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint accounting software a plus
* Direct experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Quality Module implementation and a plus

The Quality Control Engineer (QCE) is responsible for performing many of the quality control tasks at the project level as defined in the quality control plan for the project. The QC engineer exercises judgment and discretion in making quality control-related recommendations, implementing quality control policies and procedures, and handling a wide variety of quality control matters in the field and office. The QC engineer is typically assigned to a single project but may be required to support multiple smaller projects, when necessary. This is a safety sensitive position.
**Position Qualifications:**
+ A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
+ Minimum of 1-2 years' experience on large commercial construction projects.
+ A valid Driver's License.
+ Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
+ Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

+ Perform all initial and follow-up inspections and manage the punch list process. Inspections are conducted to verify that trade partner work complies with the project specifications and applicable codes. This includes performing material inspections to verify that the products are to specifications and that storage, staging and material handling methods are implemented.
+ Maintain records that identify areas inspected, tests performed and any significant findings. Initiate deficiency reports and track their resolution to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
+ Work closely with trade partner quality control personnel to understand their QC procedures. Review the trade partner's quality control logs and ensure corrective actions are implemented, when required.
+ Assist with the coordination and scheduling of third-party testing and source inspections. Interface with third party testing agencies, as necessary.

The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for implementing and managing the QC program in collaboration with the project superintendent. They will typically coordinate the activities of multiple QC engineers on one or more projects. The QC manager will work closely with the PM and PS to resolve QC issues to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. This individual will also participate in regional efforts to promote quality control. This is a safety sensitive position.
**Position Qualifications:**
+ A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or similar experience in a related position.
+ Minimum of 5-7 years' experience on large commercial construction projects.

+ Participate in the start-up and implementation of the six-step quality control/safety process. + Assist with the development of the preparatory meeting agendas and participate in the preparatory meeting prior to the start of each definable feature of work. Review and maintain the project quality process log (QPL).
+ Interface directly with owner's quality assurance and management on all quality-related issues.
+ Review initial and follow-up inspection reports, punch list items and close-in inspection results.
+ Be fully aware of the contract, plans, specifications and applicable codes. Submit and review RFIs to ensure changes are implemented in the field.
+ Receive trade partner test and inspection requests and produce a coordinated test and inspection schedule.
+ Document and submit a daily report of quality control activity.
+ Audit trade partner quality control procedures. Report chronic problems with trade partner work or quality control programs to upper management.
+ Participate in the selection process for outside testing contractors and verify adherence to testing standards, frequency and documentation. Coordinate third party testing agency activities with Hensel Phelps and the trade partners. Coordinate and schedule for source inspections.
+ Evaluation and development of QC personnel.
