Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with all members of the treatment team and keeps both the physicians, AOC, and CNO informed of issues that arise.
  • Controls FTEs and arranges staffing for nursing units in accordance with staffing grids, census, and patient acuity.
  • Monitors the Patient Activity Schedule to ensure that activities take place on time and that each treatment modality occurs as planned.
  • Demonstrates an awareness of employee morale in the department and reports employee needs to Nurse Manager, ADON, and or CNO.
  • Supervise all nursing service staff and evaluates performance of staff to include presenting corrective actions, when necessary.
  • Ensures that protocols and processes are carried out consistently as planned 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Assists Nurse Managers to ensure employee injuries are investigated for cause and that appropriate documentation is submitted within 24 hours to HR. Ensures Nurse Manager, CEO, CNO, and AOC are notified as needed. Ensures staff have spoken with Workers Comp Triage Nurse.
  • After-hours and on weekends, ensures treatment plans are added or discontinued to accurately reflect the patient's current plan of care.
  • Available for treatment team meetings, as needed.


Schedule:

Night: 7:00pm to 7:30am


Education:

Graduate of an accredited college of nursing. BSN or BS preferred. Specialty certification also preferred.


Experience:

Minimum of One (1) year of recent Psychiatric Nursing experience, including an addictions component.

Recent management/administrative experience preferred.

Age-Specific Competencies:

Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric

Licensure/Certification:

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina.

**Job Summary and Qualifications**

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
Position Requirements
The Patient Care Supervisor provides clinical management to the hospital through organizing, coordinating and monitoring patient care and representing Administration during off hours, weekends and holidays. The Patient Care Supervisor performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at HCA HealthONE Centennial Hospital.
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate nursing licensure. Current BCLS, ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC. Current PALS certification required.
B. Education:
Graduate of a certified school of nursing required.
C. Experience:
Minimum of 5 years clinical RN experience required. Three years progressive supervisory or management experience preferred.
D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the practice of nursing theory and process. Demonstrates the ability to plan and provide for delivery of nursing services. Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and to maintain constructive relationships in dealing with them. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
