JIS Inventory Specialist (2CC)

Department: OCC/2CC

Reports To: JIS Operations Assistant Manager (2CC)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing the inventory department in all activities, with a focus on driving 100% inventory accuracy
• Monitor fluctuating inventory levels and report part shortages with the goal of eliminating disruptions to the manufacturing assembly process
• Conduct daily inventory audits through an assigned weekly cycle count schedule and report findings to management
• Identify inventory discrepancies and perform deep dive analysis to determine root cause
• Track and analyze inventory transactions with a focus on loss prevention
• Generate reports for presentation to management regarding inventory statuses, updates, and concerns

Secondary:

• Function as a communication intermediary with client regarding new part (Pilot Part) inventory and timing for introduction
• Work to ensure that new E.O. parts (Engineering Order) are isolated/quarantined or distributed as directed by customer
• Answer for and track part requests and adjust inventory levels accordingly

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Experience in automotive logistics, distribution, or part management is strongly desired Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Lean manufacturing principles, Continuous Improvement knowledge is a plus
• A working knowledge of SAP and MS Excel is a plus
• Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Strong affinity for positive external and internal customer service

The estimated base salary range for the JIS Inventory Specialist (2CC) is 55,700- 61,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.

About This Role:

World Distribution Services is currently looking for a dedicated, detail oriented person to join our family as an Inventory Control Coordinator for our growing warehouse operation in Savannah!

The Inventory Control Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring inventories are both accurately reported within our WMS (Synapse) as well as physically in the warehouse locations. They will be responsible for identifying, researching, and correcting inventory variances, as well as assisting in the training of new hires on proper handling of freight within the warehouse. • Complete customer cycle count reporting
• Troubleshoot variances and identify gaps in the process
• Assist in creating SOPs to ensure processes are followed and inventories are accurate

**Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Ensuring system count matches physical inventory
-Resolve discrepancies at location and pallet level
-Look for missing product in storage locations
-Update WMS to match physical through various methods

The Operations Supervisor provides direction at a single location, leading staff to ensure customer requirements are achieved while meeting our Penske goals and objectives.

**Position Summary:**
Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities including, loading/unloading of trailers, cross-docking, and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives.
