GENERAL FUNCTION: Provide leadership in the pitching and execution of M&A and Strategic Advisory engagements while providing support to IB's Sr. Managing Director in the day to day management of the team's Associates and Analysts to ensure that junior resources are allocated appropriately across the groups projects and that the high-priority projects are getting the appropriate attention. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:. Understand and evaluate complex financial models. Perform complex financial analysis. Create high-impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other relevant software programs. Work well as part of a team in a high stress environment. Develop good working relationships with peers and seniors in Capital Markets and the rest of the organization. Manage priorities while working on a number of high-priority opportunities simultaneously. A strong background in credit and corporate finance and the ability to apply that knowledge to IB projects. Serve as support to the Managing Directors and be capable of making internal and external IB presentations to support the efforts of the Managing Directors on the team. Interact independently with all important constituencies in the course of the execution of an M&A or Strategic Advisory assignment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct day to day supervision of the IB Associates and Analysts. Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees totheirfullestpotentialandprovidingchallengingopportunities that enhance employee career growth; identifying and developing appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:. 7 - 10 years of experience in Banking, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets.
. Strong corporate finance and credit skills. Proven track record of success in working as a part of a team to originate, and close complex financial transactions. Proven ability to pitch, win and execute M&A engagements. Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written. Strong relationship building skills. The ability to interact effectively with senior executives inside and outside our organization. Expertise in one or more industries. BA/BS in Finance/Accounting/Economics (MBA strongly preferred). Securities Industry Essentials (SIE),Series 79 license required. Securities Industry Essentials (SIE),Series 63 license required.

Compensation:
The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the US. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.

As a Summer Analyst in the Commercial & Specialized Industries (C&SI) Program, you will be introduced to client management, credit structuring, and cash management allowing you to develop the necessary skillset to become a successful Full-Time Analyst. The 9-week program will begin with a week of orientation and training, giving you foundational business knowledge you'll build upon throughout the summer. Upon successful completion of the Summer Analyst program, you may receive an offer of full-time employment in our 2.5 year, full-time C&SI Analyst Program.
There are two program tracks to choose from within C&SI. First, is our diversified experience track, which exposes you to a variety of teams and functions across the broader C&SI business. Second, is our focused program experience track in our Capital & Advisory Solutions line of business, which streamlines your exposure to three dynamic teams. In both tracks, you will support our regional groups by working with C&SI Bankers, Credit Officers, Treasury Officers and Product Partners who cover a variety of industries to provide a range of financing solutions and strategic advisory.

As a Summer Analyst in the Commercial & Specialized Industries (C&SI) Program, you will be introduced to client management, credit structuring, and cash management allowing you to develop the necessary skillset to become a successful Full-Time Analyst. The 9-week program will begin with a week of orientation and training, giving you foundational business knowledge you'll build upon throughout the summer. You will also have the opportunity to hear from and network with senior leaders and spend time with peers from programs across the bank at philanthropic and group events. Upon successful completion of the Summer Analyst program, you may receive an offer of full-time employment in our 2.5 year, full-time C&SI Analyst Program.
There are two program tracks to choose from within C&SI. First, is our diversified experience track, which exposes you to a variety of teams and functions across the broader C&SI business. Second, is our focused program experience track in our Capital & Advisory Solutions line of business, which streamlines your exposure to three dynamic teams. In both tracks, you will support our regional groups by working with C&SI Bankers, Credit Officers, Treasury Officers and Product Partners who cover a variety of industries to provide a range of financing solutions and strategic advisory.
Job responsibilities
- Work on financial models to support financing transactions
- Prepare marketing materials for use in client meetings (covering topics such as financing alternatives, working capital optimization, and industry analysis)
- Learn how to identify treasury product solutions to benefit clients' long-term planning
- Collaborate with deal teams regarding business development strategy, including the identification of potential prospects
- Develop an understanding of the full breadth of J.P. Morgan products and service offerings
- Conduct client and prospect research to support business development efforts

**The Impact You Will Have:**
As a **Director of Capital Markets** for QTS, you will support the VP, Capital Markets in managing the execution and administration of QTS' financing and capital markets activities and plays an integral role in contributing to the long-term financial strategy of the company. You will directly contribute to strategic projects including M&A, long-term forecasting, competitive research and valuation analysis in addition to financial reporting and presentations to executive leadership.
You are a key member of a tight-knit team in a fast-paced environment supporting QTS' accelerating growth profile. You will have regular interaction and exposure to the broader executive leadership team as well as members of Blackstone, QTS' majority owner and one of the largest and most sophisticated private investment firms in the world.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Manage the execution and administration of complex financial transactions, including collaboration with banking partners, coordination among internal departments and other transaction participants, evaluation of key financing terms, and ongoing administration
+ Interact with lenders, investors, rating agencies and third-party consultants to foster a strong understanding of QTS' business model to facilitate optimal transaction execution
+ Independently develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making including loan structuring, liquidity and interest forecasting, sensitivity analysis and capital allocation
+ Prepare and present materials and analysis to internal leaders and Blackstone partners in support of overall financial strategy
+ Develop subject matter expertise in QTS' capital structure and financing terms and independently manage ongoing administration and compliance
+ Contribute to ongoing strategic initiatives including M&A and global expansion
+ Contribute to preparation and presentation of Board materials, ongoing reporting dashboards and ad hoc requests
**What You Need To Be Successful:**
+ Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting
+ 7+ years of progressive work experience in corporate, investment banking or capital markets at a top-tier financial institution or in-house capital markets experience at a company
+ Experience with executing financial transactions such as credit facilities, mortgage-secured loans and securitization
+ Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
+ Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
+ Advanced proficiency in analytical and financial modeling including ability to build comprehensive models including integrated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement
+ Ability to organize, interpret, and draw appropriate conclusions from large volumes of data and to creatively present the information in a manner that enables non-financial managers to easily digest the information
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Strong working knowledge of financing principles and loan documentation
