What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Assistant at MVUCS, you will be a vital part of our care team, ensuring pets receive prompt and excellent treatment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with triage, anesthesia, surgery, and discharge preparation .
• Providing hands-on support during emergency procedures, including patient restraint and basic treatments.
• Preparing and restocking treatment areas with necessary supplies and ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Communicating compassionately with pet owners , answering their questions, guiding them to the right team member, and offering comfort during stressful situations.
• Performing basic laboratory tasks under the guidance of a technician or veterinarian, such as setting up samples for testing and gathering vital patient data.
• Collaborating effectively with emergency technicians and doctors , sharing updates and contributing to a team-oriented work environment.

Anticipated Schedule

This is a full-time role with the following available shifts:

• Thursday - Saturday 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM.

Compensation

• Starting at $17.50/hour + 15% Shift Differential .
