About the Role

The Legal Talent Coordinator is an integral part of Latham's Human Capital & Talent / Legal Talent teams and will be responsible for supporting Legal Talent leadership with office strategic initiatives, while serving as a liaison between local and global management committees, ensuring effective communication and information sharing. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $90,000-$135,000 Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Risk and Contracts Manager to lead and manage risk mitigation strategies, insurance coordination, and contract oversight across our Holding Company and three subsidiary companies within our construction group. This role plays a vital part in protecting the organizations legal and financial interests while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring construction industry experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance risk management with operational priorities. What Youll Do Contract Management Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of construction-related contracts including customer agreements, vendor contracts, subcontractor agreements, and NDAs. Ensure contracts align with business objectives and minimize legal and financial risks. Maintain a central contract repository and ensure version control. Work with outside council. Risk Management Identify, assess, and develop strategies to mitigate risks across all subsidiaries. Serve as the primary liaison with insurance brokers and captive insurance company for annual renewals, COIs, claims processing, and special project needs. Implement and maintain internal processes for risk reporting, documentation, and escalation. Insurance Oversight Manage insurance requirements in project contracts; track compliance from subcontractors and vendors. Oversee claims reporting, resolution, and communication with internal stakeholders and insurers. Collaborate with leadership on evaluating liability, property, auto, workers' comp, and builders risk policies. Process Improvement & Training Identify opportunities to improve contract and risk management practices. Educate internal teams on best practices, compliance requirements, and contract standards. Partner with legal counsel as needed on high-risk contract or claims disputes. What Youll Need for Success Bachelors degree in Business, Construction Management, Law, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in contract and risk management within the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., AIA), insurance policies, and risk mitigation strategies. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with attention to detail. Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities across companies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with contract management or ERP systems is a plus. Ability to work independently while collaborating across legal, finance, operations, and executive teams.
