Responsibilities

What You Will Be Doing

Level 1:

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is 70,000k to 90,000k annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicants education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Compliance Specialist Compliance is the shield that protects Trilogy staff and clients as we walk the road to Recovery together. The Compliance Specialist is responsible for project implementation duties for compliance related projects. This staff will provide support during accreditation survey preparation and follow-up activity and will be the go-to staff deployed to address compliance-related issues with clinical teams. This staff will serve as an investigator/coordinator for external and mandated reports, including to OIG. This specialist will manage the client feedback program, including investigations of complaints and grievances, and will conduct education and training for compliance-related issues including ethical behavior and code of conduct. The Compliance Specialist is also responsible for monitoring and improving clinical record compliance in accordance with federal, state, local, certifying, and licensing guidelines. They will execute internal audits, present trending and summary reports regarding their findings, and make recommendations regarding improvements to processes or results. The Compliance Specialist must demonstrate an aptitude for data management and information systems, and a well-rounded clinical knowledge base. Responsibilities Deploy to individual teams/sites as needed to conduct targeted investigations, ensure follow-up on compliance-related tasks, or to serve as a subject matter expert on compliance issues. Create back-and-forth communication about high-risk processes and improvement opportunities. Help the Director maintain a living inventory of compliance risks. Assist Director in compliance investigations and follow-up activity for other regulators. Participate in projects to improve compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, etc. Help staff to close the gaps that you identify. Practice improvement science and change management skills. Review client health records and clinical documentation (utilization reviews, clinical note reviews, residential reviews, SUPR reviews, employment service reviews, etc.) pertaining to state regulations, including assessing the quality of clinical documentation, level of care, and overall level of services; i.e. Rule 140, Rule 132, and Rule 2060 through internal quarterly audits. Collect and analyze data to make recommended process improvements and identify training needs. Compile statistical data and produce narrative reports summarizing compliance findings. Assist the clinical leadership team in identifying trends in documentation. Provide meaningful feedback about quality improvement activity and possibilities to all stakeholders. Coordinate with and educate employees regarding documenting medical necessity for services being requested for authorization, by partnering with clinicians to ensure documentation is timely and supports the services identified. Acts as a resource to other departments regarding utilization management matters, coverage guidelines, and assisting as needed with clinical or claims issues. Support the Quality Team with completion of medication audits, mortality reviews, visits to clinical or administrative teams, site visits, targeted investigations, change management tasks, and internal communication. Participate in meetings, committees, and work groups as needed. Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or health related field required, Master's degree preferred. Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois preferred. Minimum two years' experience in a healthcare, social services, or non-profit setting, preferably in a compliance role Ability to spend minimum 2 days per week on site, with availability for more on site days as work duties require. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Legal Assistant is an essential contact point between the Firm and any subsequent attorneys or insurance companies. Primarily, Legal Assistants work directly with our attorneys to assist them with ongoing cases and prepare them for trial if needed. In addition, they conduct fact-finding projects and are responsible for maintaining all case files.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Perform secretarial, clerical, and data entry duties.
  • Document management using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  • E-file legal documents in Illinois’ E-Portal System.
  • Maintain attorney’s calendar.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of legal assistant experience.
  • First-party property or general litigation experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience with case management software.
  • Experience e-filing in both state and federal courts.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Get To Do: The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman Mission System's International Trade Compliance organization, working to ensure compliance with export laws that enhance foreign policy and protect national security. This role supports activities within the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Airborne Multifunction Sensors (AMS) Division. The role and responsibilities of the Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage comprehensive internal export controls to ensure compliance with U.S. (ITAR and EAR) and foreign regulations in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain, and other business activities.
  • Work to ensure compliance with export laws that enhance foreign policy and protect national security.
  • Establish and implement business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the U.S. government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations.
  • Assure that transactions comply with government regulations and internal procedures by conducting gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits, and export and import shipments.
  • Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Participate in training and audit assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Support law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints.
  • Commodity jurisdiction and classification determination; and making determinations regarding applicability of exceptions and exemptions.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, including Export General Awareness training, program/function specific export training, and program/capture export licensing strategy updates to Division leadership.
  • Seek management support and guidance as needed, including collaborating on decisions that have the potential to be high visibility or impact.

The successful candidate will have solid work experience in the defense industry with past work experience in the areas of contracting, international trade, and/or legal. The position will be responsible for integrating export/import regulations into business processes; applying for all DDTC and BIS licenses and ensuring legal compliance to maximize business outcomes.

Job Qualifications: Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in export/import licensing and/or compliance in relevant field (e.g. Trade Compliance, Contracts, Legal, Program Management, etc.), or Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in export/import licensing and/or compliance in relevant field (e.g. Trade Compliance, Contracts, Legal, Program Management, etc.).
  • Experience working with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and other US Government Regulations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in the use of the OCR EASE Software.
  • Experience with use of/authorizing ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions.
  • Experienced and comfortable providing training in person or via virtual methods.
