Mental Health Therapist – AI Clinician Advisory Board
Job Viewed
Job Description
Hello from Unhush
Unhush is an AI company for mental health clinicians — built
with
therapists, not just for them.
We are one of the only mental health tech/AI startups that's:
- Built with clinicians
- Backed by clinicians
- Ethical in AI and data use
- More secure than HIPAA requires
(HIPAA + SOC 2 Type II compliant) - Committed to clinician control, privacy, and care outcomes, and
- And enables clinicians to do more of what they love, less of everything else
Our
Ethical AI Scribe
is already helping therapists generate secure, editable progress notes, making session documentation as easy as 1-2-3.
And now, we are building the next generation of
secure, ethical AI tools
to make all of Practice Management as easy as 1-2-3.
About the role:
We're inviting a small number of therapists to join
the Unhush Inner Circle — a voluntary non-governing clinician board
that gets to influence how AI and other emerging technologies support real-world therapy workflows.
This is a collaborative, high-trust role, with low time involvement.
- Role:
Inner Circle Board Member at Unhush AI - Key Responsibility:
Influence ethical, secure and valuable Clinician-AI & Tech Product Development
- Location
: Remote | US-based clinicians only
- Monthly commitment
: 30-45 minutes
- Term
: 3 months (renewable up to 12 months)
- Eligibility
: Practicing mental health therapists with an active subscription to Unhush AI Scribe (so you can
influence the tools
you
actually use.)*
What you'll do:
- Influence how AI and tech gets used to bring value to therapists and therapy clients
- Share feedback on your practice management workflows — what should and shouldn't be automated
- Review new features in development (e.g., AI Analytics, AI Case Consults, EHR Integrations, etc.)
- Offer input on clinician or client opinion around AI, privacy, and use cases
- Learn and witness how your inputs develop into an AI product, real-time
- Help us "think like a therapist", not just therapy clients building tech
You have the right to decline sharing anything you consider private, proprietary, or client-specific.
What you'll get:
- Appointment and Success Certificate
- Optional guest feature on the Unhush Podcast for Therapists
- Profile listing on our website (with backlinks to your practice)
- LinkedIn & social shoutouts from the Unhush team
- $50 referral bonus per therapist you refer to Unhush (
You are not required to this, but if you do, we want to share the.
) - Free access to all beta features under development
- Opportunity to graduate into an equity-linked Advisor and/or Investor position in our first VC funding round
You are a great fit, if you:
- Are a licensed mental health clinician (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, PsyD, etc.)
- Offer talk therapy (individual, couples, families, or groups)
- See 10+ client hours/month in private practice
- Use basic tech tools like EHRs, emails or note apps
- Are curious about AI in mental health — but want it done
right - Are exploring future roles in tech, product advising, or consulting and want to build your profile and experience
Why we opened a Volunteering role for the Clinician Board?
Because we are not looking for professional Product Consultants or detached experts, we're looking for real clinicians who stand to benefit directly from shaping the future of mental health tech.
We are
not
looking to attract therapists who consult tech startups as a profession and see clients on the side, we want clinicians whose primary focus is therapy but are excited to shape how tech can make their work easier, better and more impactful.
That's why we offer non-monetary benefits (as listed above) designed to be meaningful for clinicians in private practice, and to gently filter out those with limited personal upside. We also offer the option for select members to graduate into an equity-linked Consulting / Advisory role in our first institutional funding round.
This approach ensures:
- The Inner Circle is
small, intentional, and high-trust - We build tools that meet
real therapist needs
, not assumptions - We stay lean while we're backed by
clinicians and mission-aligned individual investors
, not VC firms - Both you and Unhush get to evaluate if we are the right match for an extended role with greater time commitment and deeper involvement.
*
Important Note on Eligibility
This role is open
only to active or new Unhush subscribers
(starting at $24/month).
Why?
Because we want insights from clinicians who use our tools in real practice — not just testers. When the tech you build is also the tech you rely on, the feedback is rich, the pain real, and the solution delightful.
