The Retail Vertical team in US Market Development seeks to advance commerce and strengthen relationships with key retail merchants the Discount & Department Store, Sporting Goods, Mass, Apparel and Luxury categories, while driving value for MasterCard and our customers through developing and articulating MasterCard's value proposition for merchants in the verticals.
The Director, Account Management for U.S. Market Development is responsible for all things Mastercard within our managed merchant base, including owning the relevant customer P&L's and driving strategic planning and solution selling, with an emphasis on Services, including SSO, and digital solutions through building and broadening our overall relationships at all levels of the merchant organization.
You will lead business development activities with a focus on select strategic merchants in the Retail vertical, including working with senior/C-level executives to build strong partnerships that support Mastercard's financial and strategic objectives.
Role
- Provide superior strategic account management driven by robust planning and retail knowledge - building a deep understanding of customer needs, defining creative solutions to meet those needs, and working effectively across internal functions to bring together the resources required to deliver enhanced value to the customer
- Identify and develop new business opportunities (with both existing and new customers) that provide the best potential for future business growth, and appreciable return on financial investments. Qualify opportunities before working with internal product experts & other stakeholders to then progress the sales process
- Support strategically significant organizational initiatives, including cross-selling of key Mastercard products, capabilities and solutions to deepen relationships
- Work with customers to build an in-depth understanding of their business and a point of view on how Mastercard solutions can address the needs of their business, leveraging internal stakeholders to efficiently move prospect through highly matrixed buy cycles
- Develop detailed business cases, including financial analysis/modeling, in support of merchant initiatives
- Negotiate, execute and manage the customer contract agreement process, ensuring global linkage of resources and information sharing
All About You
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- Experience in the payments or technology business with exposure to retail issues or experience in the retail business with some responsibility for payments, co-brand, CRM and business development being desirable. Background in business development also relevant
- Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and closing complex, competitive sales efforts and delivering results in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and accuracy

Overview:
The Technology Account Management (TAM) role, focused on external partners, is aligned with the Mastercard account teams. Overview
We are seeking a talented Senior Specialist of Account Management to support one of our largest most strategic Financial Institution partners. The Senior Specialist will be responsible for supporting strategic initiatives that help drive services opportunities across the Bank enterprise, while helping to optimize our existing book of business. Enterprise focus includes but is not limited to Security Solutions, Open Banking, Loyalty, Business and Market Insights. This role will report to the Enterprise Lead, Vice President.
Role
- Serve as a strategic member of account team by optimizing the adoption and performance of existing products and solutions within client portfolio
- Act as a liaison between Technical Account Managers, Customer Account Managers, and customer to ensure delivery excellence, proactive issue resolution, and continuous value realization
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging deep understanding of financial services technology
- Manage key internal processes and work with key internal partners to execute on roadmap
- Prepare and engage in customer quarterly business reviews across fraud, digital, regulatory, and other focus areas as needed
- Analyze customer's business through profitability modeling, financial forecasting and competitive analysis.

**The opportunity**
The Associate Director of Federal Account Management reports to the Senior Director Federal National Accounts and Medicaid and is responsible for strategic engagement and account management across Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), and Indian Health Services (IHS). This role supports Teva's entire product portfolio and ensures appropriate therapeutic area access and growth. The individual will develop and execute account plans aligned to therapeutic area strategy, engage with federal healthcare leadership and formulary decision makers to optimize speed to access and gross-to-net performance. The role requires strong collaboration with Value & Access and cross-functional colleagues.
This role can be based remote however the ideal candidate will be located in the eastern time zone and in close proximity to a major airport.
**How you'll spend your day**
+ Develop engagement strategy and account plans aligned to therapeutic area strategy to help ensure appropriate success within assigned VA and DoD accounts
+ Engage with DoD and VA leadership, formulary decision makers, and other population health stakeholders to ensure optimal therapeutic area access with speed and support appropriate product uptake
+ Execute account management model and identify opportunities for best in class, enterprise level engagement to ensure appropriate therapeutic area access and growth
+ Serve as account engagement lead related to product access, pricing, contracting, and other relevant topics related to patient access to treatment.
+ Facilitate compliant facility level engagement activities across field teams, including aligned territory account managers and HEOR/medical
+ Responsible for supporting the Sr. Director, Federal National Accounts & Medicaid in speed to access and gross to net optimization across the portfolio with prioritization of key growth driving therapeutic areas. This includes strategy development, implementation of contract strategy and negotiations, terms and conditions, bid submission, field team communication and reporting requirements (both internal and external)
+ Work closely with the Pricing department to implement price changes and monitor competitive intelligence to optimize access strategy and contracts, if necessary. Must understand the implications of any proposed therapeutic area strategies on the terms of government contracts.
+ Prepare access strategy business cases and recommendations for review by various groups and individuals, including leadership, as appropriate.
+ Utilize approved resources with appropriate customer stakeholders to educate on growth driving therapeutic areas and other relevant market access strategies
+ Conduct yourself with highest ethical standards and adhere to Teva Pharmaceuticals Code of Conduct.

**Your experience and qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or other advanced degree a plus.
+ A minimum of 3 years of experience in account management for Federal accounts (VA/DoD), including deep knowledge of VA/DoD and existing relationships preferred
+ A minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare/biopharmaceuticals in account management, market access or an equivalent if required
+ Experience working in a matrixed organization and leading without reporting authority
+ Former military experience preferred
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

**Compensation Data**

Make an impact as an Associate Analyst, Account Management:
- Assist Account Managers in delivering against sales targets for Mastercard products & services and net revenue targets from existing and new business
