The Director of Supply Chain for our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) will manage a multi-location team that oversees the supply chain working with suppliers to ensure availability of parts to support aftermarket customer orders. In alignment with Enterprise partners, this leader will also develop, implement, and manage the supply chain strategies and solutions for the Americas division.
PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Caterpillar aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and the global service organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead aftermarket supply chain execution with North and South America suppliers to ensure optimal parts availability, while exceeding customer expectations. Leads communications with operations, procurement, logistics, and distribution to establish integrated processes to streamline supply chains.
- Collaborate closely with Caterpillar internal and external suppliers to optimize short- and long-term shipping performance.
- Work closely with procurement organizations on aftermarket assurance of supply, supply resiliency, and supplier initiatives that benefits the Enterprise supply chain.
- Lead communication efforts on order and supply status for dealers and customers and manage urgent customer requests to expedite supply when needed.
- Interacting with internal manufacturing facilities on production schedules and expected deliverables.
- Lead leaders responsible for logistics specialists career planning, including training, hiring, and coaching.
- Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks to guide supply chain planning and execution; monitoring planned vs. actual performance and presents results to senior management.
Degree Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree required. Preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- MBA preferred.

In this role, you will:
• Available to quickly respond and resolve critical service outages severely impacting consumers

• Provide impact assessment and mitigation plan for changes going into the production environment
