**Position Summary:**

Our client, a leading player in the logistics and warehousing sector, is seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics Operations Manager to oversee their state-of-the-art distribution center located in Columbus, Ohio, US . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and effective flow of goods, optimizing warehouse operations, and maintaining high standards of service and safety.

The Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and returns. You will lead a dedicated team of warehouse associates, supervisors, and support staff, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Your focus will be on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order processing.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Developing and implementing operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Overseeing inventory management systems, including cycle counting, stock accuracy, and damage control.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the warehouse team to achieve performance targets.
  • Implementing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations, such as throughput, accuracy, on-time delivery, and cost per unit.
  • Collaborating with transportation, customer service, and other departments to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
  • Managing vendor relationships for warehouse equipment, supplies, and services.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and technology solutions to enhance operational capabilities.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Developing and managing the warehouse operational budget.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management is required, with a proven track record of leading large teams and managing complex operations. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control principles, and distribution best practices is essential. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are paramount. Experience in a high-volume distribution environment is highly preferred.
