Overview

As a Logistics Coordinator at PLS Logistics Services, you are responsible for maintaining productive working relationships with customer representatives, motor carriers, and PLS employees. This role comes with the passionate support of our company and your co-workers around you.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Book and schedule all shipments within the assigned Account Executive/team
• Understand metrics that lead to profitability, including call center statistics, revenue and net revenue, variance to target, variance to max, load counts, etc.
• Maintain direct communication with Account Executives and Leadership team
• Identify and solve capacity shortfalls within the team
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of various systems, technology, and tools to locate and secure various equipment types for customer shipments
• Assign carriers to move shipments based on shipment information
• Choose carriers based on service levels and profitability targets
• Negotiate carrier rates (under targets)
• Ensure all loads are covered that are expected to ship each day
• Assist with the training and development of all new logistics coordinators and AET's through shadowing, best practice sharing, and technical support
• Form productive working relationships with customer representatives, motor carriers, and PLS employees
• Monitor carrier performance and report carrier failures
• Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned

About you
Site Services Department employees are a member of a shift-based and plant-wide team that provide support for the Bristol Site's manufacturing operation through the packaging and distribution of our products to meet Dow Coatings Business objectives in a safe, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally sound manner. Successful performance requires an individual to work effectively in an empowered, team-based, and ever-changing working environment. Site Services Department personnel are expected to complete other tasks to ensure safe and effective operation of the plant, such as issuing work permits, conducting inspections, training, writing procedures, and supporting continuous improvement efforts through individual efforts and teams. The job also requires a high level of communication and interpersonal effectiveness in the frequent interactions with mechanics, activity coordinators and reactor operators. This position will work in a Union environment.

This individual contributor position is responsible for various tasks related to staging, and preparing inventory vehicles for inbound/outbound transport and direct delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use handheld scanning equipment to log vehicle locations and troubleshoot inventory location
• Accurately receive, organize, locate, and stage inventory vehicles on-lot consistent with processing and safety standards
• Multi-point inspections of inventory vehicles and accurately complete inspection reports
• Consistently meet processing and quality standards
• Maintain lot and workspace areas

Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator provides overall direction throughout the Dedicated Fleet operation and provides operational assistance to the Project Manager wherever needed.

• Coordinates daily on scheduling truck and trailer maintenance.
• Works with safety department on DriveCam, driver compliance and HOS issues
• Assists Project Manager with implementing NFIs Safety, Security and Labor policies
• Assists and provides coverage throughout departments during vacations, holidays if necessary
• Manages and maintains driver payroll

As a Logistics Management Specialist, GS-0346-09, you will provide technical/administrative assistance to the program manager for the Integrated Deployment System (IDS); Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES), Contingency Operations/Mobility Planning and Executive System (COMPES), Logistics Module-Base Level (LOGMOD-B), Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS), and Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS). Formulate and consolidate logistical annexes for IDS guidance based on regulations, manuals, instructions, and directives issued by higher headquarters. At the direction of, and in conjunction with the logistics staff, identifies required deployment/redeployment support with the wing staff, serving as the NCOIC of the Redeployment Assistance Team (RAT), Air Mobility Command (AMC), and Air Combat Command (ACC) for the transportation of equipment and personnel. Review resource/logistics plans, programs, and deployment activities with the senior officer to ensure authorized mobility equipment is available or on order, and assures that the equipment is properly budgeted. Review OPLANS, Concept Plans (CONPLANS), Concept of Operations (CONOP), USAF Special Operation Plans, Exercise Plans, and Execution Orders for tasking from higher headquarters. Analyze In-Garrison Expeditionary Site Plans (IGESP) and participates in site surveys to ascertain, identify, and plan airlift and logistical support requirement needs to support and sustain the wing and units. Maintain and analyze the correlation of data between the Unit Type Code (UTC) Management Information System (UMIS), Designed Operational Capacity (DOC) statements, and all applicable plans for all wing and supported units for readiness reporting and tasking. Noblis MSD seeks an experienced Logistics Provisioning Analyst responsible for provisioning operations in support of NAVSEA and NSWCPD. Noblis MSD's mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is seeking an experienced Provisioning Specialist to lead a team of provisioners providing logistics support to our US Navy programs.
This is a hybrid position. Candidate must be willing to travel to Philadelphia, PA on an ad-hoc basis for customer meetings and trainings, and team engagement.
Responsibilities:
+ Reviewing surface ship sustainment proposals and communicate with technical codes to ensure proper inclusion of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
+ Analyzing and interpreting logistic documents, publications, and technical manuals for provisioning packages
+ Developing and maintaining provisioning documentation including illustrated parts breakdowns, drawings and technical manuals to support carrier fleet readiness
+ Reviewing Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD) for accuracy along with customer input to establish Technical Data Packages (TDP)
+ Utilizing Department of Defense (DoD) specific databases for identification of NSNs and other pertinent data
+ Working with multiple systems including NDE, Deckplate, Logiquest, Webflis, MBPS, CDMD-OA, ICAPS, and ILIT to support provisioning activities
