Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, facilitates student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible men and women.
Essential Job Functions
- Administers school elementary curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Responsible for grading and entering grades into the system.
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction
- Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.
- Ensure that student conduct conforms with the school's standards and school district policies, and establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- Coordinates with other elementary professional staff members, especially within grade level, and participates in faculty meetings and grade level meetings.
- Supervises students in activities that take place out of the classroom during the school day, including activities involving school transportation.
- Administers standardized tests in accordance with District testing programs if certified.

Qualifications
JOB STANDARDS:
Education: CDA,FCCPC or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Must complete all required trainings as mandated by the current versions of the Department of Children and Families Child Care Facility Handbook, the Office of Early Learning School Readiness Program Health and Safety Standards Handbook and other training standards adopted by the Office of Early Learning. Must obtain/maintain CPR/First Aid certification. Will complete Head Start required annual training hours.
To remain active as a Long-Term Substitute for You Thrive Florida, the Long-Term Substitute must work a minimum of 250 hours every half year. Half year is defined as July 1st through December 31st and January 1st through June 30th each year the Long-Term Substitute is active. All Teams Day and Pre-Service hours are not inclusive to minimum hours worked. Failure to meet this requirement may result in you being removed from the active substitute role.

Licenses & Certifications: Valid Florida driver's license and be insurable by Company's current insurance carrier. Subject to federal, state and local legal requirements/background checks.

SUMMARY:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide professional patient care to long-term and post-acute care residents. You will direct and monitor the care provided by CNAs and consistently ensure proper documentation and recording is taking place. Your ability to lead is crucial in both the success of the CNAs and the care of the patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for timely, accurate medication administration of assigned team and concurrent required documentation.
· Performs treatments and documents progress of same as per physician orders and facility protocol.
· Assures concise, pertinent and complete resident care documentation using computerized medical record process. Assures the initiation of appropriate care pathway tools.
· Responsible for receiving/giving relevant reports, both written and verbal from/to appropriate staff as per departmental protocols.
· Assures proper monitoring of residents and relevant condition status are reported to charge nurse/supervisor and/or physicians in a timely manner.
· Completes pre-reviews of medication administration records as per facility protocols.
· Completes required MDS documentation and all related observations in a timely manner.
· Supports CNA team through assisting in direct ADL care of residents.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
· Current licensure in State of New York.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· One year experience preferred.
