**Manager - Loss Prevention Strategy and Analytics**
**Location: Wilmington, DE (Hybrid)**
We are looking for a Manager to join our Loss Prevention Strategy and Analytics team in Wilmington, DE. This is an exciting opportunity to deepen consumer credit analytics skills and develop strategies to help past due customers get back on track.
Through credit analytics and a hypothesis-driven test and learn approach, this individual will help drive improvements to the economics and customer outcomes within the Loss Prevention team, with a particular focus on credit performance monitoring and modeling, contact strategy optimization, and development and advancement of the tools designed to support past due customers.
**The Role**
+ This individual will expand their competencies and grow their business and industry acumen, as well as demonstrate the ability to lead complex projects independently.
+ Develop important insights into the effectiveness of our current strategies, challenge the status quo, identify innovative ideas for improvement and develop business cases and testing plan to execute against those opportunities.
+ Design, recommend, document, and execute loss prevention strategies via extracting and analyzing requisite historical customer performance data from multiple disparate systems.
+ Utilize data query tools (i.e., SQL, Python, etc.) and decision tree analytical software to understand the key drivers and estimate customer behaviors by different strategy treatment.
+ Implement Quality Control processes to ensure accuracy in strategy implementation, data, and reporting.
+ Continually enhance existing processes and reporting through automation, quality control, presentation and insights.
+ Effectively summarize and present results and insights to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders to drive business decisions.
+ Develop functional subject matter expertise and support the development of junior team members
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor Degree (Graduate Preferred) in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science and 3+ years of relevant analytical experience.
+ Strong SQL, Python and Excel skills required; experience with multiple types of relational databases, BI tools/platforms, and/or additional programming languages is a plus.
+ 4+ years of experience in a complex, data-driven problem solving environment
+ Innovative and capable of developing a highly analytical approach to solving problems
+ Lending or consumer finance industry experience preferred

  • Provide operational support for Credit Risk Management by performing various functions including line facilitation/maintenance, client data management, limit breach monitoring & investigation, and NAV gathering.
  • Build knowledge of processes to develop and maintain a strong control environment, including the ability to analyze problems and find solutions.
  • Review key metrics to measure risks, controls, workflow capacity and system issues.
  • Decision Making/Judgement - moderate level of independent decision-making using sound judgement.
  • Partner with CRMO leads and stakeholders to help define business case for changes that would improve processes/reporting and see them through to implementation.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
  • 3+ years' experience in financial services, operations or related field.
  • Experience in using metrics and KPI's to measure core functions with the ability to track and report emerging trends and performance results with management.
  • Basic knowledge of businesses/products offered by major financial institutions and risk disciplines.
  • Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Self-starter who can work effectively in a multi-tasking role.

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in Operational or Risk Management, Compliance, Internal/External Audit or other control function desired.
  • Leader who is able to develop and bring together high performing teams in an effort to meet business needs through training, influencing and coaching. People and performance management is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with automated solutions such as Alteryx, Python and UI Path a plus.

As a Vice President in Card Risk Analytics, you will be responsible for analytics to develop and optimize Risk Management strategies and controls for Chase Consumer Card Services to enable innovative capabilities for new card applicants.
