The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, saws, molders, spoolers, strippers, cut strip machines etc. Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble. Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts. Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices, as necessary. Cleans and lubricates parts. Inspects completed repairs. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Requisitions new parts and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Manages Preventative Maintenance program which includes documentation for our quality assurance program.
- Communicates and cooperates with all Techs on the floor concerning equipment not operating correctly.
- Trains operators on daily maintenances.
- Manages Tool Calibration program which includes documentation for our quality assurance program.
- Observe all safety requirements including but not limited to Lock-Out/Tag-Out.
- Goal is to make repairs to original equipment specifications - consult with manufacture if fix is unknown.
- Repair building equipment such as fans, overhead doors, docks/locks etc. also required maintenance.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, hand tools and power tools.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts, using hand tools and power tools.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices, using hand tools.
- Starts devices to test their performance – update operators to changes in equipment.
- Initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
- Able to adapt quickly to fix most important issue to keep a department running and then getting back to long range fixes.
- Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.
- Works under minimal direct supervision but accountable for daily communication on issues to Engineering Tech, Leads and/or Plant Manager.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3+ Years Experience in Machine Maintenance
- 2+ Years Production/Manufacturing Environment
- Able to operate equipment, including forklifts, safely and able to understand and follow safety protocols.
- Able to stand for up to 10 hours per day and to walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to work in a non-climate-controlled facility with fluctuations in temperature.

This is a challenging opportunity that involves working with minimal supervision on the set-up and operation of a variety of numerically controlled and manual milling, turning, grinding, boring, drilling, and related machine tools.
**Job Description**
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Perform complicated precision operations to close tolerances working from verbal and written instructions, and at times, sketches and operation sheets.
+ Complete inspection of major and minor parts, sub assemblies, assemblies, and components to determine the accuracy of workmanship and functional performance.
+ Conduct dimensional inspection of parts and assemblies, including identification of non-conformance characteristics per instructions/procedures with improvised set-ups using height gages, surface plates, and indicators.
+ Perform CVP audits as required.
+ Perform assembly, pressing, forming, bending, hand benching, finishing, and sub-assembly operations using a variety of hand and power tools.
+ Perform any and all cell support duties including machine lubrication and cleaning, trucking, parts cleaning, and general shop housekeeping.
**Requirements include:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ At least two years of milling or turning experience OR Combined experience in milling, drilling, boring, turning, broaching, clear cutting, or grinding with at least one year of milling or turning.
+ May also qualify with one or more years of R-17 Machine Varied, R-17 Machine Turn, or R-19 Precision Grinding.
**Desirable qualifications:**
+ At least 6 months of CNC milling.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Proficient in the use of basic hand and power tools.

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
- Sitting at workstation approximately 10% of work time, standing and walking approximately 90%
- Lift / push / pull up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to twist, reach, squat, kneel, and bend
- Requires ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects and ability to use basic hand tools
- Full color vision
- Involves moderate risks or discomforts and special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, pallets, trucks, and machines.
- Employees are required to use hearing protection, safety shoes
- This Machine Adjuster position is located on-site in our Erlanger, KY facility

**Job Description**
As a Machine Operator, you will perform minor production setups and handle light troubleshooting when required. Your role involves conducting various assembly operations to maintain a smooth product flow efficiently, preparing the area for upcoming jobs, and maintaining machine uptime by swiftly changing containers and restarting machines. Additionally, you will visually inspect parts before placing them on skids and assist in machine setup.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform minor production setups and troubleshoot as needed.
+ Conduct a variety of assembly operations efficiently.
+ Prepare the area for the next job.
+ Maintain machine uptime by quickly changing containers and restarting machines.
+ Visually inspect parts before placing them on skids.
+ Assist in machine setup with Machine OP 2 personnel.
**Essential Skills**
+ Production and machine operation experience.
+ Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 35-40 pounds repeatedly for an 8-hour shift.
+ Multitasking and following instructions effectively.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Ability to clean up after oneself and operate equipment safely and productively.
+ Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience running 600-1000 parts a day.
+ Familiarity with the automotive industry and related paperwork.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
