The successful candidate will be a part of the production team. The Machine

Operator will operate specific processing, packaging, portioning, conveying, and

cooking equipment within specified parameters. Operators will be expected and

required to run assigned equipment to obtain maximum productivity and quality

while performing the following duties. Typically, assignments will be in a specific

department and reporting will include an assigned production supervisor. The

position requires an individual with several attributes, including:

-Familiarity with mechanical applications

-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and

maintenance instructions

-Standing in a stationary position for an extended period of time

-Some bending and lifting

-Able to perform in high-stress situations

Job duties of a Production Machine Operator include:

• Setting up line for production run

• Lifting raw material cases of 25 pounds

• Moving melters and equipment

• Clearing and moving pallets

• AWEMA One-Shot machine operation - The One-Shot deposits a filling inside

a shell of chocolate. Responsibilities includes disassembling, washing, and

reassembling the machine, learning a computerized menu of options,

monitoring and troubleshooting

• Selmi/Enrober operation - tempers chocolate

• DoBoy Wrapper operation - wraps chocolate products

Training and oversight is provided for all job duties.

We are currently seeking General Production candidates for our Cheektowaga Fluid Facility. The ideal candidates will have prior cooler/warehouse experience and excellent communication skills. Role & Responsibilities:

• General labor duties along with other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Ability to work in an environment with cold temperatures, noise and uneven walking surfaces.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ensure safety precautions are always taken during operation of equipment.
• Understanding of the importance of safety, teamwork, communication and good attendance.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, perceive distance and distinguish color.
• Ability to handle intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as stooping, bending, climbing and lifting material or equipment.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Applicants must be available to work all hours (all shifts) as well as weekends and holidays.
• Ability to meet company policy for attendance and work schedule requirements.

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous manufacturing and/or warehousing experience is preferred but not required.

Egg Packing Machine Operator

Starting pay: $17.50/ hour

Job Summary:

The objective of the Egg Packing Machine Operator is to operate and maintain the egg packing machine, ensuring efficient and safe packing of eggs. This role involves preparing materials, monitoring the packing process, performing quality control, and adhering to safety and biosecurity protocols. The operator works independently and communicates effectively with other team members, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Resonsibilities:

It is the responsibility of the Egg Packing Machine Operator to:

Preparation and Setup:

• Organize materials at the start of the day, including pallets, flats and dividers
• Set up and prepare the egg packing machine for operation
• Prepare date cards for labeling packed eggs

Operation and monitoring:

• Run and operate the packing machine, including any robotic components
• Load trays and monitor conveyor belts to ensure smooth operation
• Use the REF system on a computer to monitor egg flow and track production
• Manually inspect and remove any broken or damaged eggs before they enter the packing machine

Maintenance and Safety:

• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
• Follow all biosecurity and coworker safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Operate a pallet jack safely to move materials as needed

Communication and Support:

• Assist other team members with supplying materials in zone 3 when required
• Communicate any machinery issues or malfunctions to the maintenance manager promptly
• Maintain radio communication with barn staff to coordinate egg supply and other operational needs

RESPONSIBILITY:

• Operates one or more, typically two, six spindle screw machines.

JOB DUTIES:

• Learn the fundamental operation of a Screw Machine.
• Learn to read layout to determine proper tooling needed and adjust tools to bring parts into conformance with print.
• Inspects tools and compares to tool layout verifying all tools and tool holders using various gauges.
• Replaces worn tools and sharpens cut off blades.
• Changes collets, bushings, and feed fingers in stock feeding mechanism. Gears, stops, and cams (if necessary).
• Ensure proper material and stock size for job.
• Loads bar stock into bar feed mechanism.
• Operate machines and inspect parts in accordance with Quality Procedures.
• Verify conformance of parts to specifications using micrometers, dial indicators, and optical comparator.
• Adjusts tools to bring parts into conformance with print, submits first piece for inspection and starts machine.
• Program edits, indicating tooling and fixtures, and troubleshooting minor problems and tooling issues.
• Notify lead person of variation in dimension, if tooling is getting low or if job is not producing.
• Weigh parts accurately.
• Document all information needed to run job.
• Empty and spin chips.
• Perform daily and routine preventive maintenance functions.
• Keep machines and area clean and orderly.

EDUCATION / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and use calipers and micrometers.
• Prior lathe experience preferred.
