The Laser Operator is responsible for operating sheet metal equipment according to specified daily work orders.

Responsibilities:
  • Sets up machine with the proper program and material for the specified part.
  • Loads material into machine manually or with use of mechanical aids.
  • Checks part to ensure accuracy to print.
  • Adjusts program and machine settings as necessary to produce product within customer specifications.
  • Notifies team leader immediately of any problems when running a part.
  • Completes production paperwork, follows shop system data collection procedures and follows inspection procedures on a daily basis.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance and inspection on equipment per machine specifications.

  • Advanced measuring skills to read English and Metric systems and a tape measure, caliper, gauges or micrometer

**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Operate machines for production of various products, as assigned.
+ Prepare machines for the production program, by tooling and parametrization according to work order.
+ Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes.
+ Check production status within and in between each production sequence and take action in case of deviations.
+ Check finished parts/component, perform specific checks or functionality tests.
+ Support maintenance in regular inspections and repair measures.
**Your Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent
+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions write clear communication in English
+ Ability to operate complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
+ Good visual acuity
+ Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
+ Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
+ This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
